I'm sure he'll like the spotty knife, but why spotty?

 

I want to have a bit of fun too. I forged this knife and while I was at it i put some stainless steel " blobs" on it and when the grinding was done I etched it. So now the carbon steel is dark and the "spots" are shiny. Its a one of just for Davy with one spot for every one coming to the meet on the 28th.

Yes, I never thought of it that way. But you are right. This was the last bit of the leftovers from that HW 100 stock. So the knife turned out a bit on the heavy side. But hell to it, Davy is a strong lad.
