Guest sph1979
Just a question, i was going to use a beddy whippet greyhound to my bitch instead i used a collie greyhound bull greyhound dog. I asked the bloke if he wanted anything for the use of him he said NO.. He asked if his mate could could have one if there were any spare, of course i said YES. When the pups were born i rang him and told him to tell his mates if they want one to come and choose one AND they never. They mostwere sold in the first few days. I gave a bloke i no quite well one because the bloke with the stud dog didnt wan anything. Now he wants a pup for his mate ive spent just over £100 on food for the dogs. I asked £50 for thr pup off his mate. He is threatening all sorts now. What shoud i do ? Also i have sold around £300 of food for him for my mates for nothing, sometimes making myself out of pockett. coursing_lad 45
i like to use the term - a gentlemans agreement , as thats what you really have , obviously there is no law ect , nothing on paper that would back you into a corner for anything , before any breeding is taking place , even amonst freinds , you should always use the - gentlemans agreement ,and stick by it throughout , ... if the bloke wanted a pup at beginning , he should have stated , if he wanted price of a pup , if he wanted a set amount , if you have a pup spare , keep to your side of it , if you dont , theres nothing that can be done . So you still do have a pup left to give him i take it, if so you should stick to youre word and give him a pup, not charge him £50 thats a slap in the face for him mate, as you used his dog for stud and wouldnt have the pups if it wasnt for his helping hand. if you gave a mate a pup, that was youre choice and nothing to do with the other side of the matter what so ever. stormrider8 59
If he wanted one it should have been picked before they were ready to go. You cant be expected to hold the litter back for him. Quote Link to post

CI HIR 13
He`s entitled to a pup or the price of a pup(everyone knows that`s the deal). That deal was never confirmed by you two, that`s why you`ve got this hassle now.I bet he`d have a different story to yours.Give him his pup and have f--k all to do with the messer again. If you deal with idiots expect this sort of shit. He hasn't even seen them By giving him the price of a pup you can put an end to this and stop him hassling you for a pup.Carry on as you are if you want this to continue. You asked for advice,do what you want with it.You might get a bad reputation if you don`t sort him out either way. Guest sph1979
If HE wanted the pup that wouldnt be a problem or money, Its his mate that sells them after a while. Quote Link to post
