Guest Countryboyo
Got the two they look very healthy. and much stronger and more active than the last two. I will be feeding them mince for a while as they are thriving on it at the moment. I must say that all the ferrets looked in great condition and were kept in excellent clean conditions. the man that sold them to me was very sound and gave me loads of advice over a cup of coffe and biscits. To be honest I dont think it was the feeding that caused the problems the last time , It was just that I bought unhealthy kits thinking that I could turn them around and they were no where near 3 months now that I see my two 9 week olds. I will keep you updated on the kits and try get photos up. Ps I know what ferrets eat . what I ment by the post is what would be best to feed them, I was being over paranoid after the last two failing. I have obviously asked people who own or previously owned ferrets whats best to feed them before I got them. Thanks for help! Delighted with my two new furr balls! Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
if you suspect kits arnt as old as the folks selling them tell you , walk away , same as sickly looking kits , its just heartache when you try the best for them & they still dont make it Quote Link to post

Kay 3,709
Cheers! lesson learned dont worry. I think the old saying '' put the best to the best to get the best '' still applies , suppose same as any young animal , you want bright eyed & alert , it is tempting to take weak stock out of pity , think you harden to it over the years , , if your ferrets are for working then you want robust animals that will serve you well i see no reason why your new kits wont make good hard working animals in the future Quote Link to post
