Out this evening.

Recommended Posts

Now then airgunners, went out this evening, and low and behold, its sunny :D For the last couple of weeks I've been saying I was going to take my HW77 out for some exercise and then picked up the HW100T instead :D so this time I dragged it out of the cupboard and took it down the garden just to fling some lead down the barrel, anyway, got it zeroed and oiled the external moving parts, think thats the name of a Black Sabbath album :D So all ready, and in the boot of the car and off to the nearest permission, after all the rain we've had I did'nt trust the weather :D My first victim was a tin can, you just cant beat a bit of plinking along the way can you, It was nice to not have to worry about running out of air I thought, quickly tapping my pocket to make sure I had enough pellets, phew! a full bag in my top pocket :D , it was'nt long before I came across my first bunnie, cross hairs on and whack! one in the bag :D It was nice to hear that thwok that springers make, I'd nearly forgotten what it sounded like, I spotted a squirrel jumping in a fir tree, but it was my bad luck because he was making a hastey escape from the HW77, think he saw me first :D So I decided to have a bit more practice with my preloved springer and shot around 30 fir cones from the tree the squirrel vanished from, good fun :) I sat in a spot where I could see a lot of damage to some oak saplings the land owner had planted, so I thought I'd set up there for a couple of hours and see what happened, to cut a long story short, in between plinking every thing in sight, like clods of mud, puddles and a lump of Badger sh*t that went with a splat, I managed to bag another 4 rabbits :D To be honest I did'nt think it would be as much fun as it was, it must have been a good session, because I shot the best part of 200 pellets and only 5 at the bunies :D So maybe next time I'll take the old springer again, now I've got my eye in :)

Keep at them!

stealthy.

Cheers Davey, when I bought the HW100T I put the 77 away as a spare, and every time I opened the cupboard and clapped eyes on it I wanted to take it out, so this time I did, it made a real change too :D
