Brian-911 210
i just got a patt bitch pup the weekend now i wanna kennell it with my 5 month old lurcher bitch. problem is she wont leave the patt alone! just wants to play but is way to heavy handed!! she paws at the pup who is a quater of her size and also nips at its legs which hurts her. the pup tries to bite back at her trying to defend herself. so i now have the pup indoors which i dont want. was thinking of halfing off the kennel so they cant get to each other????? not sure what to do anyone else had this problem?? jac 12
Is there anyway you can make a hole to a separate place that is only big enough for the pup to get through, like a cat flap, so when the pup has had enough it can get away ? Quote Link to post
miller 18
just got a new jack pup myself this week, my pat cross cant stand it so they are seperate at all times for now. the pat cross has always been in the house but this new pup is out in the kennel from the start, so all i will do when the pup is old enough to go out for a walk i will put a muzel on the pat and see if they will get on eventualy so i can take them both out ratting together. Guest Chip
get it kennelled seperatley, plenty of lads on here alone lost dogs to kennel fights when they thought they knew better,it may well never happen but not worth the risk for me. Quote Link to post
