If you take the skin of and then cut the crown out of the dove, you end up with about 4 forks full of meat. Its a bit milder in taste then the woody and well worth the little work it takes.

I for one would rather give a woody to my ferrets if I had any then parting with two ring neck doves.

this is good cos the woodys in my area are impossible to get close to without a lot of paitents, yet the collared doves are as tame as city ferals. i could just throw the gun at them i get that close!
