yet another question from me about mesh lol

 

could i make a pigeon trap out of 2" square weld mesh or would the ferals and doves that also frequently steal the grain i'm trying to protect just hop through?

 

i ask this because there are only so many i can shoot in the time i have each day

They might. But you could always use the weldmesh to create the structure and cover it with some smaller hole, lightweight mesh like chicken wire.

would it not then be to heavily construced and scare off any pigeons and john if i want to use it on a non level roof, barn roof tin should i mesh the base?
