I had a young magpie in the larson today using half a baby rabbit. I went back this evening and had his brother in there too, but as I approached I saw mummy sitting above the larson on a branch and shot her through the head. Not a nice thing to do in front of the kiddies, but hey ho...

We will see if the young one brings in anymore.

You can have good fun with a call bird and an air riffle alright. this is how i get most of my numbers. I usually only use the larson to catch a spare call birds. Hate magpies yesterday I saw one `pulling at affter-birth while it was still hanging out of a cows arse.
