scuba1 invited down to shoot

Hi ladies

For those of you who don’t know I had invited SCUBA1 down for a shoot.

{Because he is always nice to me on here } so if you behave buster you never know??

Any way mike got to me about 3:30ish pm and we were on permission by 4:00ish pm, I had to point out the boundaries and so forth ,as we didn’t want him wandering on to non permission land .so I got into my camo gear and mike put on his lederhosen!! You know those shorts what the Germans wear, I just shouted to mike BEHAVE!!

 

So we decide to make are way into moonlight field, and followed the fence line down, it wasn’t long before we seen are first targets of the day and a great start for mike to stalk the targets, all was going great and mike was ready to take the shot then 2 pigeons clocked mike and up they went and the bunnies scarpered.

 

So on we went down in to part of the first valley, and we spotted 2 kits out playing, so this was my call. So of I went to stalk them and I got within 35yds and they clocked me and went straight back down so I called mike back over to sit with me and we just had a chat and waited, it wasn’t long before a adult came right up. So up went the HW100KT yes buster!! The HW100KT I took aim and THWACK over it went not a twitch, as I paced it back it was 34yds. So it was IRELAND 1 GERMANY 0

 

Then we made are way south of the field towards moonlight valley, but had a quick look at a few warrens on the way, so this was mikes turn to even the score!

Now this is where it gets funny! As mike was stalking the bunnies I was on the fence line staying still. So I thought I would take a few pics for you ladies!! After I brought the camera down I see a hare right behind mike, and the first thing what came into my mind was panto! {IT’S BEHIND YOU} I should have shouted! Well mike had seen the hare by this time had pissed himself laughing {you had to be there to see this it was comical}

 

 

 

Well no luck this time so on we went to moonlight valley, and spotted a few out in the valley and up on the hills so we decided to stalk 2 bunnies which were out side a warren together. mine was on the left and mikes on the right we kept it like this as mike doesn’t like stalking on the left-hand side lol any way they clocked us again ,so we just decided to take in the view for a while and have another chat .then out of the blue we started to watch these fox which came from no where we watched for a while before moving on round to the ivory tower where there was an adult out, so a bit of stalking needed here and of I went got me self settled and THWACK missed it we had waited for a while for it to show its self again but no joy .

 

 

 

 

 

So we decided to go up to tin mine and have a drink of wine and take in some more views

And another chat { these Germans narff like a chat you know} as we were talking and having a glass of wine I spotted a kit out by the tin mine ,mikes turn up he goes

 

 

by the way i used the AAS410K and mike used the HW100KT as its from his place of birth

{ how he stalks I don’t know because he’s about ten feet tall} a sanding shot and THWACK over it goes ,and we left it for mr raynard. by this time we started back to me van had a couple of more shots but no joy so the score was

IRELAND 1 GERMANY 1 we had both had a good day out and to be fair is was more about meeting up and putting a face to a name. And you’re more than welcome to come again mike, then back to mine for a cuppa tea and a chat!! Which I must say mike liked the way I made his tea lol

I,m busy till the end of the month now,crawling around in a powerstation boilerhouse but if your willing to travel up,the invites there Davy....

Blood y hell that wine mus have been good, as I can't for the life of me remember hitting a thing with that HW . i could not even see it in the grass when Davey put it down. That is one heck of a nice camo job on that rifle. I still had a smile on my face on the way home every time I thought of that hare stalking me. I think they should all be caught and have bells put round their necks before they are released again to stop them sneaking up to unsuspecting hunters like that.

We had a great day out and the permission Davey has there is a fantastic place to spend some time with a staggering view. Even the fox in fron of us sat down at looked out over his part of the permission and was not bothered to turn round until I gave him a squeak.

I have kind of fallen in love and before some of you shout things about the magic touch of moonlight valley, you are wrong. Its davey's rottweiler. Us Krauts stick together, see. I did however have a bit of a saw butt when i got home, but so would most of you spending 6 hours driving an A class
