Guest Bodach Posted July 13, 2006 Report Share Posted July 13, 2006 Had the same problem in small fishery dam in Renfrewshire a good few years ago, at that time you could use a chemical called blue stone, don't know if it would be allowed now-a-days. Another approach is to use straw on a windy day spread the straw over the windward side of the water and let it blow down the loch cating the pond weed, rack it out of the water when wind drops as it can cause the oxygen content of the water to drop as the straw breaks down. Also cover areas with black polythene it cuts out ady light and kills the weed, rack out dead weed as aboce tight lines B Quote Link to post
