If you can start work as soon as you have one, then you must be old enough son. Off the top of my head we had an apprentice working with us when he was 18. I couldnt say for definate, but if need be i will phone up someone at work & ask.

Booking Office-08706004020. Im sure these should tell you if your elligible. Book up as soon as possible as you wont get a date for around 3/4 week for your test. You pay when you turn up & get your pass number & certificate if you pass. You then have to send around £25 away to recieve your card. You will take your test local. A good bit of advice is to revise with the Health & Safety Test Questions & Answers book & have a read again on the morning before your test. Its pretty much common sense for an old kid like myself, but maybe not for a young kid like yourself. Good Luck. ps any work for an old hod carrier ?

The disc you have must be a mock test. Same as the Questions & Answers book. You will only have to look at a certain parts/sections & not the whole questions. If your dad says he can get you in,then book up as soon as possible. You need it. Works all quiet so take what you can.

i am a plant operator (jcb's and dump trucks e.t.c) i have a cpcs card (construction plant competence scheme). it is the same as a cscs card (construction skills competence scheme) but for machinery. you can get them from 16 year old mate. you will sit a 40 or 45 question health and safety test but as long as youve got some common sense its easy to pass

Go into your local connexions / job centre or something along them lines in your area. Being 16 and unemployed, its likely they will pay for it for you! I was going to do mine, just so i had it but got a job( in a completely differnt field) before the test came up :victory:
