Mr L picked me up, nice to have a lift, and off we go.

Flippen 'ek, the grass and the crop (oil seed rape) hasn't half grown in the last couple of weeks at this place, at the lowest up to my knees, and the highest virtually up to my shoulder.

Anyway, saw a couple of bunnies on the verge of the lane driving in but couldn't see anything later.

Few Roe stuck their heads up in the rape, very close some of them, all Does, then a boy did a silly thing, leaped up only about 15 yards away, bounded about 30-40 yards and decided to stop and take a look back, not a big fan of standing shots but it was rude not too, and as his head was about all I could see that was where it went! Leap up, run, trip stagger, fall, not the best shot ever or he would have gone down on the spot, but he only made it a few yards!!

A Fox did a rapid runner through a small clearing, big bugger but a scrawny example, too quick for either of us to get a shot off but so close!!

Mr L took the shotgun, probably the best option in the circumstances, and knocked a few black things and blue/grey things out out the sky, and powdered a "clay" I found on the estate. There has historically obviously been some clay work on the estate as we found a lot of broken clays in one area..but one whole one, ready...shout pull and I'll chuck it, bang and a big puff (of dust)...

And it was flippen hot and humid and kept trying to rain but never quite got us wet!

Hey hoe, just another day at the ranch!!
