ade33uk 86
i keep 4 jills in a cage 4ft x 18" which is a similar size to one of your sections , and they are fine . so in theory you could keep about 12 ,but with 3 interconnected hutches the ferrets would all end up sleeping in the same bed and crapping in the same corner , it would be a hell of a mess in no time ,. split the cage into 3 sections and you could manage 9 or 10 at a push ,keep it as 1 big cage and you might get away with 6 or so . This is just my opinion someone will have another opinion on the matter . Quote Link to post
stubby 175
its not so much how many, but more quaility of life, 2 or 3 ferts would be happy as larry in there, yes you probably could cram more in, but would they then have such a good life, only you can really deciede, Quote Link to post
ferreter.al 22
like stubby says 2 or 3 or maybe evn 4 at a push,if you are getting them out in a run every day and plenty of excercise then it shouldnt be a problem, they love to sleep in a pile anyway ...atb Quote Link to post
joe14 98
It realy depends on how much out of cage time the ferrets get, I would personally would not put more than 2 small ferrets in there, can you make a run to build on the front it it? that would be ideal. Quote Link to post
