SLING SWIVEL STUDS HW100T

Recommended Posts

How you gettin on in Penkridge Ramcam?

Hi Buster

I had a great time and met loads of friendly people. I shall be up there sunday, was hoping to get my rifle sling ready by then. T's wife told me over the phone today that a sling would cost me around £10 fitted only to find out that the studs were £30 for the pair, £15 for the swivels and a decent sling £25. I can not fit a sling to my bipod, I would have to change that aswell costing me another £50. What a day I would have to spend £120 just for a sling on my rifle.

Depends if you want to be able to remove the sling get the QD studs (one long one short) and the sling bit to it. if not any kind will do from bisley just be sure to get a long and short one.

Do you know the cheapest place to purchase qd studs mate?

would a stud be secure under the the hw100 the stocks a bit thin under the cylinder and the rifles a bit on the heavy side?

Thanks :)

Drill the hole for the stud 0.5mm smaller then the stud, countersink it just a little bit ( before drilling put some masking tape on that area ) then mix some 2 component epoxy glue and put some on the stud before screwing it in. Leave to set for a few hours > Job done. It will hold no problem.

Don't forget to set the stud holes at 90 degree to the stock of your gun

Yes that is a bit of a worry. Do you know where i can get some cheap studs from? i'm looking for the removable ones but can't find them cheaper than £30 for the pair.

No mate, I don't do fancy stuff like that. Just put two standard QD's in my rifles as I don't see the point in removing them.

Sorry can't help you there.
