School Music...

Recommended Posts

School, the best days of your life...but assembly singing and "music" lessons were much hated. My mate Rory had the amazing ability to fart seemingly on demand, loud ones too and the rear half of the assembly would be a mass of giggles as he continued to botty-belch non-stop.....BUT, what songs did you guys have to sing?...all creatures great and small? "My favourite things"???? Eidelweiss" (sp)... does anyone remember "Old dan tucker"?.... :guitar::guitar::guitar::guitar::guitar::guitar:

"All together now" !! :11: :11: :11:

We had an old wrinkle who taught us, so we got all the classics "He's got the whole world in his hands", "Kum by ahh my lord" and all the church hyms :cry::cry: .

After our 'Great' intro to singing we would have weekly recorder lessons if we were good  , using the same recorder that some dirty twat who never cleaned his teeth had used the day before :blink:

God knows how from this foundation is music i went on to do a degree in music :laugh:

All the best Tommy ;);)

Does anyone else remember that time-less classic "old dan tucker"?

Old dan tuckers a fine old man,

he washes his face in a frying pan,

combs his hair with a wagon wheel,

old dan tucker nerves of steel......or something like that.....

And that other...."brown paper packages tied up with string, these are a few of my favourite things?"

"Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"...now that was a real tune :good:
