  5. he does still have puppy legs at times, we get out early mornings most days and see all sorts he has started trying to stalk rabbits rather than just bombing after them you can see he's trying to figure out best way to catch them. I took him out for a little look on lamp last night dint see anything apart from a hedgehog which I didn't see but he did so that shows he's looking down beam, I will keep him active and let him show me [BANNED TEXT] he's ready.
  6. I suppose what other breeds in the mix make a difference, his sire was a deer/grey 28 tts but his dam was bought as a deer/ grey x whippet little 21tts bitch an absolute demon worker. Mine is 23tts so he's not a big dog really.
  7. I realised that after I posted, it was my first post on here.
  8. He caught a young rabbit other day while just out on a walk we do quite a few miles each day and he runs about and always seems to have some energy to spare so thinking maybe let him have a run on the lamp this is my first lurcher so I am still learning too.
  9. Hi all, new member from Doncaster here, I like my ferreting and shooting but recently got my first lurchers, any one round here from round my way??
  10. Hi all, just wondering who's got experience with deerhound cross lurchers. I have heard they can take longer than other lurchers too mature, mine is nine month old now seems keen as mustard but don't want to rush and ruin it.
