Fishing in remes area, i try to fish many different lakes to find hidden gems there are good lakes out there just got to find them.

Using a tracer light works brilliantly and has good range for a bit of bunny bashing but what filter do you prefer, I use the red out of a possible red, white,blue,amber and green but I am thinking of changing it over soon to keep them guessing. So I am asking what if any do you the reader of this personally use or any recommendations. Many thanks Nick.

Twice every year without fail I go to France to put my feet up open a beer and watch the sunset as I wait for that magical moment, the sound of my alarm screaming of with another marvellous sized French carp. Soon that moment will be here as I am counting down the days left before I leave just hoping the weather is good and the carp are hungry anyone else going soonish. Nick.

Would love to take the time to say a huge thanks to a member of this forum who has recently taken me out on their permission. Not only have I had a brilliant time but have meet a good man in the process. After struggling to find new permissions local to me and knocking on countless doors (the shooting community have got it locked down pretty well around me) I had pretty much given up. Thanks to Pestie100 however I have had my faith restored in the shooting community knowing that there are good people out there just got to find them. So with new found confidence I am back on the h

Have done chap I offered 3 days a week still no takers I always wanted to be a game keeper offered free work without any shooting to local game keepers no takers and I have driven a fair bit but it needs to be somewhere I can go a few times a week so Norfolk is out the question lol I really am trying around here

Problem around here is they already have those people on them I am just asking to go out with them lol. I will keep trying it's just a shame for the sport really. Shooting would be far more appreciated by the wider population if more opportunities were available and it wasn't so secretive. It's the whole secretive thing that makes non-shooters think it's a wrongdoing instead of a way of life. Many thanks anyway Nick.?

Well after many many knock backs I have given up, I have decided to get a shotgun seeing as it's the only way to get out with people mention the word rifle and no one talks to you I have only been interested in rifle shooting but the only people who offer to take me out which is very kind of them are shotgun shooters. I am of course knocking on doors but I am running out of places near me 15 golf courses all a sorry but we got people. That's a very kind offer chap I will bear you in mind I am always looking and knocking but being so cramped here for land don't help its a shame to the sport that not more people offer to bring you along I keep asking my small permission if I can bring someone along hard to justify it though. Still I will keep asking never know some people don't come on here for months at a time so someone might turn on and reply for a good day out. Hi chap I am on outskirts of Brentwood and thanks I will do the same but be prepared trying to secure a permission around Essex is like running a marathon up hill in summer it's going to be exhausting but with a bit on luck someone will be kind enough to bring you along for a night. Nick.? -
Hello again chaps I have probably spoken to a few of you on here already about my struggles around Essex but I can't even get to know people. I like to network and meet new people but I can't even get to know people lol. Offered to help on nights out lamping or fixing up pens ect. Not even bringing a rifle or shooting just to meet local people who shoot on lands near me. Not a single reply ? no one need a little helping hand out there Essex area or close to will bring a hot flask of tea lol. Nick?

It's a running theme getting out with people is a struggle getting permission is hard in general trying to get some down south though is a joke. There are good people out there though chap so don't give up it will take ages trust me I am trying as well but don't give in. Knocking on farm houses or putting notes up in farmers markets is a start good luck. Nick.

It would be great if we could all just open our doors and walk to our preferred pastimes,if you get the chance to shoot anywhere take it,local is a bonus I worked in essex for a couple of year used to walk from halstead to gosfield caravan park most fri/sat/sunday nights the amount of things running about was unbelievable, get permission first though good luck Yh it would be nice to jump back in time when people were friendlier i will go anywhere i get offered really as permissions are hard to come by around here even with a good word from a local landowner i can't seem to get out wit
