    my first dog 30years ago took some beating he was first cross borzoi / grayhound,he was not much good on rabbits to tall but any thing else ,not much got away

    just made the run up to see sadmadbad,came home with new JRT pup and two alloy rims with new tires for my ranger.its not often you meet a real genuine bloke,with a real love for his dogs and what he does.just to say a big thank you for today.john

    I used to work them them when I lived in the mountains in the south of France,mainly used for wild boar,that are brave ,hard as nails,yet very loveable and loyal little things,that give great voice,and can hold a full grown boar at bay,thay can work in even the thickest scrub.ihave just lost my little parson and would love a teckle to replace her if the chance ever came round.

    like the other 2 posts ,don't kennel them at the moment,the old dog will kill the pup.introduce them bit at a time.walk the pup on the lead when you take out the other dog or dogs,keep the lab pup on the lead even when you let the other dogs off for a run,this will do two things it will help to make the pup steady and feel safe being with you,the other dogs natural curiosity will kick in and they will come up to the pup,keep like this for awhile,but you must make sure the dogs all know that YOU are the Alfa dog and that the new pup is both accepted and protected by you,theye ill soon sort out

    hi just a short note to introduce myself,into lurchers ,new one only 10 months old,into terriers,salmon fishing mainly on the fly.done most types of field sports over the last 45years,I look forward to posting and reading on the forum.many thanks,big salmon
