  2. if it was the brother he was a fawn dog looked very simlar in size and build to him
  3. if it was the litter brother he was never run on big land as far as i know but was a decent dog at what he was used for could have been alot better in the [bANNED TEXT] hands, like i say its what ive been told and will never realy know the truth but was intrested to know what lucky was like,do you know if hw was from the leeds area, the father to my bitch would apparently be about 15 and was used as a stud at 12
  4. it is off a genuine person but would just like to know if what sort of age he would be now to confirm that this is true,is he from the leeds area? and was he a good dog which a couple of you have already said yes
  5. my bitch is 4 now and was told when i bought her,her dad was the brother to lucky the dark destroyer would just like some info if anyone has heard or new this dog cheers daz

  8. thanks for the replys, the dogs obedience training recall, sit, retreive is all pretty good not 100% but good for a 6 month old dog he is still very much a pup and like i said i havnt shown him anything he seen a few birds and does chase but thats it and i dont realy want to show him anything else for another few month,my older bitch was started with a little ferreting but i dont have ferrets and dont know anyone who does as iv moved since then so starting the pup will be diffrent i just hope i get the chance for some easy rabbits for him
  9. when starting a pup do you think its best to start daytime or on the lamp,my pup is nearly 7 month so i know ive still loads of time iv not let him see anything yet,he will be manily used for daytime mooching but will do a little lamping just wondering if you would start him in the day or the lamp
  10. cheers pal,ill get some in morning she not limping and it not bothering her unless i realy push on it she still bouncing about just when knocked it bleeds
  11. cheers iv bathed it with salt water and its not bleeding, the quik/vein what ever it is called is just slightly out the end as if the nail has smashed around it,hopefully the nail should grow back round it,dont think it needs a vet unless he is going to cut it [bANNED TEXT] back and then cortourise it
  12. run my bitch yesterday and she run across a concreate area between two fields came back with her toe nail/claw bleedind and split,i cut it of were it was split cleaned it and covered it for a few hours whilst it was bleeding, just had her out for a small lead walk and come back and its bleeding again, looks like a little bit of vein out the end,am i best cutting it further back past the vein or just leaving it, cheers daz

  14. the school across the road from were i live is riddled with rabbits ive just walked across and lamped the field up through the fence and theirs a fair few out,i wondered if anyone had permission at a school and who they contacted to get it,their is a caretaker lives on the grounds would i be best approaching him or writing to the council, obviously would only go lamping when no kids about cheers daz
  15. Hi i have a 4 year old saluki x and aher son 6 month and was wanting to know if anyone fancied a mooch in the Bridlington area? I'm looking for someone to do a bit of rabbitting with and the chance to socialise my new pup. Not after big bags or anything, just a bit of old fashioned work for the dogs.'
  16. i gave a some pups away in about september october time saluki x,be intrested to see some pics and here how they are doing, the dog i kept back is coming along nice he is 25"tts now i cant wait till next season to start him i will get some pics up when i get a new camera
  17. i use to show my bitch uptill about a year ago and she did very well, but as others say it is just fun,the racing sides of things is a joke i run my bitch quite a few times to keep her fit and she also did well, the racing they do on the tracks for lurchers use to be ok but as someone else said they are brreding 3/4 grey to another grey and then a pup of that to another grey and getting away with running them as lurchers spoils it a little
  18. out of intrest id be intrested in what exersice and training people would be doing with a 5 month old pup,i have a saluki x at 5 month bred by myself,he is coming on well retrives well, recall is not to bad i suppose for his age and breed stillneeds some work,he is good on lead, has bad manors around house jumping on tables which needs work (at least i know he can jumo),he is very puppyfied still which is what id expect,he runs well when chasing my bitch but obviously not shown him anything yet,my bitch is 4 this year and is a very good bitch in my opinion allthough i think i made alot of mistak
