    Although I have e-signed this petition and confirmed my email address the petition still only shows the same 28 signatures it did before I signed it. Is this another example of a poor government website or could it be a conspiracy to make everyone believe that no one is signing it lol

    I used to keep firearms in Birmingham (albeit 25 years ago) and they were happy to allow me to keep my guns in a cabinet held to a wooden floor by coach bolts into the floor joist through a floor board. The inspecting officer just tried to move the cabinet by yanking it and if it would not budge he was happy. I have also previously lifted a section of floor boards and poured concrete between a section of 2 joists and made my own small section of concreted floor to bolt into.     I own a co2 powered Hammerli Air Magnum 850 and the owners manual recommends that you dry fire it to test whether the gas pressure is fine before firing a pellet out of it. I can see no reason why a PCP rifle would be any different - but checking in the owners manual would be my first suggestion.

    I use carburetor cleaner for a number of jobs unrelated to cleaning carburetors. I would have no worries in using this on the inside of a rifle barrel as long as it had had a chance to dry thoroughly before shooting it again. I also keep handy a tin of the liquid petroleum lighter fluid which I use for all manner of cleaning jobs - great for removing some stains and greasy finger prints from hard surfaces.

    Some people just do not have anything better to do than to cause grief for others. As I live in a built up area of Birmingham I tend to limit my air gun shooting in my own garden to my low powered air pistol at about 6m into a steel trap backed by a thick wooden backstop. My former neighbour however had in the past reported me for having a loud television (funny really as although I owned a TV it had not been turned on in over 12 months) as well as for playing loud music and for calling my dog late at night.     Hi All, I have recently after a hiatus of almost twenty years decided to rekindle my interest in shooting albeit now air guns over my previous clay pigeon and rim-fire/centre fire pistols/rifles. Although based in Birmingham, I have access to family owned land in mid Wales which I visit on occasions throughout the year. I also target shoot with my air pistol and air rifle on ranges in the Midlands and intend to try out the new 'Fieldshott' range at Kingsbury, Near Tamworth in the next couple of weeks.
