24" unless you have a fire arms licence , there are some nice SABEL and AYA with 25" barrels for sale i am unsure if on the register your barrel length will be noted ask your fire arms officer , if so changing it may be a nightmare

i have read in other publications of the labour party policy of putting up the licence fee to £200 , now i don't want to get into politics but unfortunately it effects us all and our sport , historically Labour have attacked shooting as if it was a elite past time ,which it once was ,now shooting goes across the board encompassing all classes and types of shooter ,i am not a rich man , and don't think i will ever get invited to expensive shoots , but when i do shoot i enjoy it a great deal ,the licence fee increase will do nothing but turn the clock back to were only the wealthy shoot ,

always stay within the law and don't loose your licence every shooter is needed these days

I really like the 112 think i will buy one not sure if i can break clay's with it but what the hell,i read a lot and consume nerdy facts , so i have convinced my self that short barrels don't make any difference because a cartridge has expended all its energy buy 12 to 18 inches ,so any barrel over the legal 24" is just a waist of metal not to mention extra weight . or am i wrong

I read a article on the Bernardelli 112 extra although i am clay shooting , i was taken in buy the 112 ,however the article said it was a dedicated walk up game gun , which i found confusing , is a clay not simulated bird , so why cant i shoot clay's with a 112 extra, what makes a game gun different from a clay gun , this is all very mysterious ,

thanks for your replies i feel i know a bit more which is good , my first purchase will have to be a multi choke to see what suits me best , i think buying a fixed choke will be guessing at what is best

i am new to shooting , i am at the moment clay pigeon shooting and i am enjoying it a great deal , so much so i have applied for my licence , i will at some point be ready to buy my first gun . can some one please explain chokes , what do the different sizes mean ie 3/4 choke does that mean it is open buy 3/4 or tighter in other words does the bigger the fraction mean a smaller bore or bigger bore, and does this limit shot size does it effect wade , i would ask at the club but feel its a technical question that may put some one on the spot.
