hello everyone. my current dilema is........ ive been beting on the same shoot for over ten years but this year the keeper has asked me to drive the tractor towing the beaters trailer, ive got no problem with this but im not sure if i would be insured on the road, and with such a valuble cargo i feel i cant risk it. I work on a farm and do plenty of road work under my employers fleet insurance, but im not employed by the shoot in question, to add to this i "avoid" beaters tax by saying i do it only for fun (if the tax man asks) so im still not officially employed by the shoot, even as casual l

cheers fella's. was definatley stinging and tingling after a bath. Today has got me seriously doing my homework on the idea of getting a pup of some sort next spring, especially as i do most of my ferreting single handed, i bet id still be on all fours diving into the rough, even with a dog lol.

I couldnt resist any longer. My kit has been checked over and ready to rock for at least a fortnight but been putting off going due to masses of growth in hedge bottoms, young rabbits still showing and very dry ground. But yesterday a local farmer asked me to do a problematic area on his farm that other ferreters had turned thier noses up at for being too ruff!!?? so keen to show them up i accepted, and had to make some sort of a show and sharpish. So i went in blind and rolled up onsite at half 7 this morning, i can see where those boys were coming from, what i had in front of me was a mixed

thats great mate thanks. No wounds or anything external, he's been off his food for last 2 or 3 weeks and its showing! thought at first he could smell jills in season so was more worried about shagging than eating but have seen him sick a couple of times in last couple of days so want to give him a bit of a "pick-me-up", cant think its anything but gut trouble as he hant been out and all other ferrets are fine. I'll get him on the amoxycillin straight away. very very gratefull for your help, you could have just saved my liner!!

Does any one know of a mild, water soluble antibiotic, thats suitable for ferrets thats readiy available please? ive tried various vets but all insist on seeing the patient before prescribing, and of course charging a consultation fee. Ive previously used "alphachlorolose" which i had for pheasants and partridges which worked a treat but thats now ran out, and modern keepering involves getting prescribed antibiotic already mixed into feed, and obviously ferrets wont eat game crumb, even with blood mixed with it!! any feedback much appreciated, many thanks

i made a 1m*1m*1m cube out of 1" weld mesh with a central weld mesh divider purely for this purpose. Each half of the cube has a locking flap/ door at top and probably cost about 20 quid to make. Over the years ive succesfully introduced several adults to each other using it. They spit and snarl at each other a fair bit for an hour or so but the central divider prevents any physical contact, after about 12 hours max i put them into a run together and very rarely had any dramas. i would leave it for a month or so yet though jus tto let any hormones settle after the breeding season, hope this h

I have a 8ft mk1 deben ferret finder collar that dos'nt work. Does anyone know of a way of repairing it please?? Both the terminal and the inside of the cap are spotless, but thats as much as i can do for now. Im sure there must be some way to repair them as the old and not working collars sell frequently on ebay for more than the price of a plain leather collar!?!, i know its a tough one but id really appreciate any feedback on this one please, many thanks.
