    Makes me laugh all this "it was great untill '77 then shit from then" " brilliant untill '94 wank after that". In 10 years time someone on here will be saying " it was the best upto '14 then went downhill. Things move on. Remember an allegro car was once thought to be decent.

     

    i see where your coming from mate, each to there own... they changed with the times, sometimes it worked sometimes it didnt. black album paid off, st anger didnt.. the mix of new and old in death magnetic was not bad... go listen to metallica and lou reed on jools holland, painfull for any metallica fan..

    metallica are legends, more recent stuff hasnt been as good, death magnetic was not bad, why the feck they done that album with lou reed..... hopfully they can do one more top album!

     

    hopefully get a chance to watch it online!

    gave the disco a service today, oil/filter, fuel filter and cleaned the sedimentor (full of crap).. shes putting out some white smoke ( unburnt fuel ) when first started, i know the worst case it could be a compression issue but am hoping its going to be something less serious i.e injector as mentioned above.. ive used some redex, hasnt been half bottle to full tank, just a rough guess everytime i put fuel in...probaly used half now. anyone know if redex is any good, if so how much/many miles should i be expecting to use to get any benefit if its the injector.

    my sister is moving her dog onto a barf diet, shes got a guide to follow, the food shes starting off with i cant get so looking for a few ideas/ places that will deliver raw food untill she moves onto same stuff i feed lurcher. cheers

     

    edit: already know of durham animal feeds, looking for more options

    some good signs out my way ( south of edinburgh ),hope it continues. whats it like where you stay?

    thays handy to know be heading there once the season starts lol

    Sounds like a plan, if am invited.... :whistling: Wouldnt mind a drive through the wild west sometime aswell if you need any help, or willing to pass on some advice

    dont think a 93 200tdi has an egr valve? my 92 200tdi doesnt? and it smokes like a goodun when i start it up lol doesnt do any harm

     

    what i like to hear lol, does it run alittle lumpy on start up? what milage is on yours mate? ive heard good things about the engines in the 200tdis

    got a old 200tdi, 1993 with 185,000 miles..when first started in morning she runs alittle lumpy, if it was a petrol id say sounded like it was miss firing when reved above 2000 rpm, also alittle smokey at start up. give it a couple revs and its runing good, once its driven down the street any clear signs of smoke from mirror is gone. is this normal for these old motors?

     

    i can do abit with petrol cars, this is first diesel/4v4 ive owned and will be working on. any helps appreicated
