    Mainly farmland some woody areas around Shropshire. Going over to hancocks tomorrow just to have look. Appreciate all the advice.

    I know everyone slates Hancock but that type of breeding I'm after 3/4 grey 1/4 collie. Any suggestions on different breed varietys appreciated. I'm looking to have dog in the house with my cocker pup who's now 6 months old. Looking for something to do a bit of mooching with. Cheers

    I don't do a lot of shooting to be fair if any.really appreciating the advice though lads I'm interested in what type of lurcher to get with the cocker they will both be house dogs do temperament is of importance too.

    Got a cocker only 6 months and was considering getting a lurcher or two to work with him. However been informed this could ruin the chance of having a decent gun dog. Opinions on a postcard please lol

    Cheers for the good advice. What breeding would you recommend then I was looking for something like a Hancock dog or maybe something smallerike beddy x whippet. Appreciate the advice cheers.

    I hear good stuff about the Germans ones here my friends one and my patterdale. The GWP is a bit of monster not worked family pet but he's very bright. Would like to of seen what he would of been like if he had been worked. Did mange to kill a sheep a while back...

    I have a six month old working cocker who flushed his first pheasent today! In the new year moving to a bigger property and will be able to keep a few more dogs. Like I said I already have a cocker but if you could get two more dogs what would you go for ? Two lurchers ? Another spaniel and lurcher ? Terrier, Hound etc etc...I'm looking to just go after the rabbits and that for now daytime stuff really. Any ideas will be appreciated.

    Hi there I currently have a 6 month old working cocker (male) he's great fun and really enjoying the training. Thinking of getting a lurcher for a bit of a mooch out with the spaniel. I was wondering if it mattered what sex of lurcher to get ? I don't want to breed the two dogs together there too different. However could I get away with having a bitch ?
