  1. Sticks are handy but not as steady as a bipod I have taken rabbits with head shots at about 100yds with the HMR using sticks but if there is a fence close by I would rarther fire off the post as it is more sturdy and easier to get a steady shot.

  3. To be honest any dog will test your patience when you are an inexperienced dog handler. I have my first dog a Rohdesian Ridgeback (Pig headed stubborn breed) and there were times when he was a pup he pushed me to dispair now after alot of time and training love and affection he is a great dog and a big part of the household.He is great around kids and friends and I have also had him out beating on the shoot when he was 18 months old with no problems other than taking a liking to a lab bitch.His hunting is coming on well now the other day he put up a few pheasants snipe and flushed a few rabbit
  4. Yep good gun I have one go for a 16" barrel as they are easier to use from a vehicle and also slightly lighter with no loss of accuracy.
  5. Yeh mine came today aswell good value and its a neat idea not having to carry a torch around with you.
  6. Yes they make excellent watch dogs anyone we know can walk into the house and get licked or presented with a squeeky toy to play with any one we dont know wouldnt dare come through the gate. The postman gets a daily ear bashing.

  9. The mentor bit seems unfair I just got my FAC granted before christmas as did my mate who shoots with me. I got 22lr 17hmr and 223 and my mate got 22lr and 223 first time out with no mentor.
