  1. there was a bloke close to were i live and he used to breed of good terriers an charge £50 for them thats a reasonable price for working strain terrier if you ask me working dogs at working men price and would not sell if you said it was going to pet home. regards lee
  2. they pic best looking dog not best looking working one they should rename the dog show not working dog show as some them dogs never seen so much as a rat or rabbit in case it lost a piece of fur or gets scarred up turning into a farce and they wonder why people don't bother going to the shows any more Have a Lakeland myself was told to put her into show by a few but I 'm not going to just got her to do ratting around where I live happy with that and hope to a bit of hunting as well iam not saying dont go but you will notice that there are to types of dogs that are there the perfect g

  5. i will say in my experience the hardest dog i ever seen was a fell terrier some would say too hard the second was a pat nutall breed 1/8 bull the thing was pure evil the only reason i say fell first is the dog never backed down to anything he was put to, where as the pat would use its head after taking a pasting lol the pat was a dog fighter to but never had the pleasure of owning a lakie like i said just my experience no doubt others will have difference in opinion i think its in the dog or not simple as that any how all the best to one an all for the coming season. regards lee.

  9. what i mean is you cant run dog on two big fields then put it in small field and expect the same of the dog the dog. dog does not walk in field and go this is small field need to be on it from the get go if the dogs used to big land it would have a laid back style thats all .

  11. this is true working dog show full of the only work they have seen is when there owners go. some people dont know the meaning of the word work.
  12. a good dog is one that can run and use his head and adapt to the terrain he is running quickest whether it be big or small land English Irish coursing dog it don't matter the one with the ability to adapt the quickest is the dog id have my money on every time that in my eyes is the really good dog just my thoughts on English Irish subject each to their own good luck for the coming season one and all.

  15. no not [BANNED TEXT] i meant it got her to run every thing as if she could catch it the marking cover came from bushing with the older dog witch she picked up real quick this was just an option for the lad. different ways and methods. why not try letting it see another dog run afew and hold it on till it trying to pull your arm off then try on its own good luck with [BANNED TEXT] you decide.   16. Get it a dropper did the trick for mine now she goes at everything 100% and started marking cover to only 9 months old Best of luck with her
  17. Can't be that good dave don't recognise the name but says they used to race on back of fighting cocks pub years ago ill try and find out some of the dogs names that may help.

  20. is there anyone on here know of a bloke called jim cowley from rotherham was told people came from all over the place to breed from his dogs this was along time back as he is in his later years now was told he could not read or write but knew his stuff when it came to the doggy game just out of interest or is there any lines that could go back to his line of running dogs

  22. i picked a whippet pup up of him for my lad and we were chatting and he told me of the stud dog but never went into detail about him and after seeing some of the xs on her thinking of one for the future i no dave but dont know alot about is kelpie xs so asking folks who could have ownd one of his lines thanks tp123 ill ring him and ask him more about the dog later.
