  1. Pref I'm after a grey beddy deerhound Don't want anything with bull in it, it ain't needed the beddy bit has plenty of grunt n bite behind it when it wants and I'm after a broken coat bitch to!!!!
  2. The whippetys ive seen about,even on rough land,would never go 10 and no contact,id do some more education before contemplating starting another. Don't need education dog just needs time, n it will do, like I say he is fine on flat n like trotter says in time he will do but as above want another dog bugger to do the bugger things n have something about her, I'm not one for swapping n changing dogs every season, a dog is as good as you make it with time n effort it will do so don't come with the education crap!!!!!
  3. I ain't one for throwing dogs to side pal, he as only just turned one, n I'm happy with him, on flat he hits just the rough were he doesn't all the time But also want another dog to go with him for one company aswell as work on bigger stuff!!!!

Still got him pal, He is doing okay but want another to go with him, cause iv just got some more permission on some bigger rougher land, n my little whippet x aint big enough to tackle the bigger stuff, he is just for bunnys Plus he has had over 10 runs on the new ground n done no good missed every time, but it is proper rough n hilly, But get him on flat n he does the buisness!! Plus I went away few week ao n he got on really well with another dog around him so that's another reason to get another n give e a boot up arse to sort kennels out!!!!

  7. No he had just missed it but was te turquoise renualt kangoo people carrier so keep any eh out cause there ain't to many of them about, If h'd of caught thm trust me they would of been fed to the pigs!!!

Just a little thing from yesterday A friend caught some lads in a greeny blue renualt kangoo people carrier trying to rob dogs, they had whistles n dog toys n treats trying to encourage dogs into there car, He gave chase but didn't catch them luckily they didn't get any dogs this time but keep eyes open This happened in farmworth greater Manchester area,
  9. great reply's, iv found a chap around corner from me what is willing to teach me and look after his birds when he goes away and he will teach me the ropes, and also found a new friend to go n do some rabbiting with, been and bought loads of books and read few things over the net aswell!!! money doesn't come into it when your wanting something you've always wanted some things can wait and put on the waiting list and cut backs lol (Mrs's doesn't like it) lol

Patient, it's the key, saluki are stubborn stubborn Bstewards pal, Just keep plugging away at retrieval n coming back to you, I usual have a tennis ball rapped in rabbit fur for pups to play with or a skin, If you can't get hold of any there's a lad sells um on eBay, Let it see a few bolsters n see what happens How good a dog gets is how much time you put into a dog pal but you'lle soon no if dog is up for it or not!!!!

  12. Good job I haven't gone another lad went did 100 journey n no one has said it was cancelled today Absolute shambles he said loads had turned up to!!! Hiya Toby dog is mint pal, iv been away for few week pal so a friend as had dog n its got out of shape same as me so As from tomoz its fitness sessions every night for few week to get back into gear Dog and game fair pal it was yest had racing n that there!!! Typical really for north west that there is jack all about n everything gets cancelled

Iv plenty of land to use with full permission all way round Ribble valley well over 400 acres, theres every sort of ground possible and plenty of everything, But like I said at 1st iv had a thing for birds of prey all my life iv heard about gus hawk and Harris hawk being the easiest to start with, but I'm going to get experience first [BANNED TEXT] I jump in, It's also to get my lads into it aswell instead of computer games, iv already got eldest one who is 8 coming with me with dog rabbiting n think instead of bloody goldfish lizards like modern day kids have these days a nice bird would

  17. Yeah I'm going away next week n got 4 books ready to read! The holiday thing isn't a problem cause iv someone who is willing to help out who also is fascinated with birds of prey n there looking after my dogs to when I go, if I didn't have some with but of knowledge I wouldn't go away!!!! Iv already got few new proper sheds available on my land so can turn one of those into an avert quite easily and it's very secure!!! Would you recommended going to a bird of prey centre for experience days or be better going n paying a lad what works um n help out???? Thanks for your advise

Hiya guys, was just wondering how hard it is to keep a hawk, iv been amazed buy them for years n love watching them, iv seen a lot of folk have got them now but not to work to just have as pets n to fly now n again!!!! Was wondering about which would best hawk to start with n the licenceing aswell with the birds, Am I right there isn't no licence needed for a gushawk???? Look forward to hearing everyone's opinion
