  1. Sorry that is not online in English and for posting on this forum but for us it is important that you understand what is happening now in Ukraine. just declared open war inside the country and called on all to arms and defend themselves. http://hromadske.tv/episode/128 http://24tv.ua/home/showOnline.do http://wwitv.com/tv_channels/b6702-Espreso-TV-Ukraine.htm
  2. This dog looks strong! Good hunting with him!
  3. All prefer Laika. There are several types of Laika. Those that hunt mostly all originally from Russia. Perhaps because local hunters in touch with hunters from Russia. From there they bring the best dogs among Laika. Elkhound ( some call them Norwegian Laika ) as I know that they are close relatives with Laika. I've heard they are good hunters and some hunters use them in Ukraine but not very popular between hunters in my region. I suspect that someone mixes Laika with Elkhound. In my region Elkhound very often used as a home dog , as they a good guards and they behave well with kids.
  4. Thank you Accip74! As soon as he was 5 months. The first was a wild duck. First fox in a natural burrow in 10 months. I almost always take him with me. There were failures, traumas, but in general I am satisfied.
  5. Many of my friends are using Laika for hunting for wild boar and badgers, but they now have to admit that Jagd no worse on the surface. And in dense bushes even better. Pretty good work in tandem, Laika and Jagd. Many are already planning to buy a Jagd to help larger dog in finding and working in dense bushes . Like it or not but Jagd has a fairly wide range of uses.
  6. The most severe test is in real conditions during the hunt, but I'm glad it too.
  7. Thank you Accip74 . Credit to man that has this couple! Yet nothing interesting to tell about this season. But I hope will be
  8. Very - very nice puppies jawn ! All the best for them! Exciting pictures !
  9. That pic looks like the yote's up here - they are clever critters we generally go out with 3 dogs - 1 patti and 2 APBT. I know of a few packs around our area and I wish we could hunt at night like the Americans, then we'd might have more success. But with that being said my terrain might make it a bit too difficult to hunt at night. I wish I could hunt them at night too. officially banned .... But I do not know whether it would be effective? Needed practice. The animal are not stupid. We are waiting for the snow.
  10. They are remarkable little dogs. I have a few down here and they have proven to be excellent all rounders. They have a very high prey drive, excellent noses and above all, they trail bark which is what I need for hunting Sambar. The only genetic issues I am aware of is PLL (Primary Lens Luxation) in some lines. The problem affects the eyes in many terrier breeds including some Jagd Terriers. Considering the origin of the breed, which is relatively new, I am surprised they haven't come to the notice of UK hunters sooner? We faced the same problem with PLL! Until recently, no one paid
  11. Excellent ! Very intelligent Atak Aluminium !
  12. When tried to translate from Ukrainian, one says that this is coyote and the other that this steppenwolf . On some photos they are different, but sometimes very similar. Wikipedia describes them differently. Some says that this red-haired wolf. Wikipedia says that the red-haired wolf is rare, and lives in the U.S. and much mixed with coyotes at this time. Most of us call it a steppenwolf. So sorry, but I can not give an exact answer about who is on the picture. Last 2 years they started to bother us and grow in number . In severe frost and deep snow began to visit the yards. They had to
  13. ENA Vapek. Moved to Ukraine. So different and so beautiful! As to me!
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubxZoRmqaG8 Thank you jawn! At this time, they are getting used and quarantined after vaccines. Therefore, up to now, only the domestic conditions. But it cost me several chargers few meters different types of cables, some furniture, shoes, and constant war with my son. Other puppy (IRMA) now with my friend. The same story! We'll begin on the next week. Let's see what they can do!
  15. "Kyiv Marathon". I was not there, but my friend was there with my dog. Showed not the best result (one diploma of the first degree and one second degree diploma), but competition was tough . There were many dogs have shown a great job and won prizes. One of the participants, who loves to take photos and videos made movie. Not very professional, but she tried to.! I decided to present it to You.

  18. Nice and same to you gonetoearth! Sorry, but i didn't think that here is so bad about trials!!! You don't want to understand that this is no more a matter of one country, and I have nothing against your nation or any other gonetoearth, so don't become paranoid! Best test for your dog is a hunting and the real conditions but trials (especially when you go abroad with your dog ) will prove the work of your dog, chance to get a diploma, exchange experience and earn some money (eg to support the club) and have a good time in the off-season. I hope and really wish one day you will feel more com
