No not yet anyways thank fook Spidolero black an tan still only young.not to sure about the black bitch as another lad had her before jacko. Dont think she has since hes had her.

Good point socks but their a gutter downpipe in it is well that they can drink from when it rains its the black pipeing beside the drain it also flushes the SH.T away that saves me having ta clean it we all know what its like scooping up ferret SH.TE Nuting like it first thing in the morning lol

Thanks for replys lads the black an tan is nuttal lines got her from a young lad in tipperary.Shes 12months now and working very well her parents were digging dogs.And well worked by the looks of them.Black bitch is jackos from here they work well together putting out rabbits,their in good shape alright rob they get plenty of hunting!

Hotel with a veiw lol.The big open space makes the difference with fitness ferrets play alot runing through the pipeing.Their water bottles are on the second floor so they hav ta go up the nearly vertical pipe to get a drink.

coneykenny who asked ya about what ya were doin with live bunnys the law or was it onlookers.Did you start up any new places to hunt for urself or were you just restocking old permissions?

Borderscott he is a wee cracker its a killer some times the way things turn out!at least ya you get to Ring the lad that still has him to get updates on hes huntin.Never easy giving away dogs that ya have as a pup!

I have a patt that i hunt rabbits with Bushing an that an shes putting a good few out to the dogs she gets a few herself I love to watch her work vocal is well.Maybe Theirs better dogs for the job but i cant fault her My Friend has one to jacko from here,an he says the same well an happy!I have had plummer before that worked good we dog to but i have to say when the patts pick up a sent its like a switch goes off in their head from calm to mental ha!Very hard dogs no problem bulldozing through thick thorn bushes as for around the house quiet enuf rarely barks unless someones about which is what ya want.Good with other dogs so far but shes still only a year.I got her from a young lad in tipperary said she was nuttal lines but as said could be just sails pitch.With a patt if trained right you wont be dissapointed hope this helps best of luck finding the dog right for you!!!

Do any of yous hunting lads do this after catching game?I never did until i done a falconry course.We were told by our falconer which is a [vetenry scientest]an Has like a small zoo from birds of prey to racoons you name it.That if we are going to feed our birds off wild game to freeze it for two weeks first to kill off parasites as alot of wild game carry these.My resbonse to this was how can their be anything in them when their gutted an cleaned,He said some will burrow in the flesh SORRY i cant go into finer detail with this!Can any of yous shed more light on this?

MY VERY FIRST FERRETS TO HUNT WERE POLECATS AND I HAVE TO SAY THEY BROKE MY HEART ENDLESS HOURS TRYING TO TAKE THEM OUT OF BURROWS THAT THEY KILLED IN WHEN I WOULD TRY TO PICK THEM UP THEY WOULD TURN AND GO BACK DOWN LITTLE FOOKERS.WHEN I STARTED I HAD NO FINDER I BOUGHT A MK3 I WASNT LONG FINDING OUT HOW MUCH THE FERRETS WERE KILLING UNDERGROUND HAD TO GET RID OF THEM WAS BLUE IN THE FACE DIGGING TO LITTLE FOOKERS THEY WERE LIKE HEAT SEAKER MISSILES NO ESCAPE.I COULD HANDLE THEM BUT ANYONE ELSE WOULD GET TAGGED

The one thing that i have noticed with farmers is that they are very clangish and dont take to kindly to strangers especialy around their houses or farmyards half the time they would think youre up to no good!How i got most of my permishions was i would approach them when their feeding stock start with small chat a bit of banter.A farmer will always ask who ya are were your from and who your people are.I subose im lucky to hunt loacal this has worked for me!and as a good gesture id have a bottle of wine in the van if you come across them again as a sweetner this has never let me down.Happy hunting bucko!!!

it always seems that the albinos are the most steady. The polecat colloured ones always seem to be a little skittish at times. Have any of you found this
[i would have to agree with this,i hunt 2white ferrets not albinos[black eyes] and a polecat when im out i hunt them alltogether which works for me But i have noticed that the polcate has a wee play about at the mouth of holes were the whites get stuck in.Dont get me wrong shes a great we worker,the only downside to the whites when their called they take their time as for the polie is out like a terrier!/quote]

i think the main things ta look for when releasing rabbits is thick hedges with vermin fences each side helps, dry land[sandy] with high banks or as tegater said hill country side.come on lads any one else do this with good results or bad results.Thanks so far for replys
