  1. Have lamped my beddy a few times , just to get out for an hour or two and a laugh ! Yes they might pick up a squatter , but when they get out run its nose down and clear the area of any wild life . I put a lot of time and effort into my dog but to make him into a lamping dog  Urine extraction comes to mind !

  2. IF THERE IS I WOULD DEFINATELY BE WANTING A PUP ASAP

There is 1 dog pup left down here in S Wales , cant promise fox takers , but in the right hands they will make good strong dogs ! Royston i will ask around for you but the 1st cross has been out of favour for a while down here ! Got a beddy x grey to a beddyxgrey with a touch of fellhound bitches that i go out with every week good hunters but not out and out killers due to the dash of hound !

  3. Dont bite about beddys lads , each to their own ! I would not slag any breed or type of dog that a person wants to own and work its their choice ! Life is too short to slag people and dogs off , leave that up to the fcukwits ! Enjoy your hunting with the tyke of your choice . Regards Alun , PS off to the parlour to get my fluffy beddy all poofed up rock a billy quiff and all the trimmings !

  4. Dont need to poach no more ! Got so much permission now through us doing a good job ! So busy to keep them all happy , life is good what more do a man want ! See you soon sionnach to sort your man out with beddy pups ! Thanks again for a great weekend . Respect due to a good dog man !! :notworthy: PS and me being an ex fishing baliff ,how dare you !

  6. Hi , there is a web site for working beddys , wwwthecountrydog.co.uk . What do you want the dog to work ? The beddy is not a out and out earthing dog unless there is a dash of lakey , my opinion . Get a pup off boys who work them , do your home work on the breed so you know the beddy is the right dog for you !

  7. hi, i've got a beddy bitch who's 10months old and she's had a few rabbits ferreting but nothing that bites back yet. At the mo she has no interest to go to ground even when other terriers push past to go to ground, i know she's young and don't want her to enter to fox till she's older but has anyone else had a beddy reluctant when young but that now does earthwork?

    thanks griffo

Griffo, what lines is she from?

Some dogs will fly to ground at 10 months (or before) and yet, some dogs are nowhere near ready at that age.

The temptation is always there to get them going early, but the dog must be mature enough mentally and physically to cope

with what goes on down there.

Then one day, you might be lucky enough to get her 1st one in a drain or some easy place, and it will all hopefully click into place.

hi, she's from gary newcombe/stevens rillington lines. She's quite mature for her age and is raring to go on rabbits at the mo although she has showed no interest fro going to ground, i was just wondering if any one had similar experience when there beddys were younger.

    thanks griffo

Come on griffo ! N Newburn is where i brought the bitch down for you ! Put some pics up as she is a cracker !
