25+ years ago a mate had a [BANNED TEXT] nice Gsd/grey x bull/grey.....on paper it sounds like a horrible mix....but I will be honest it was a handsome creature...at the time he had a bull grey as well....both the same hight and colour...but the gsd.bull.grey was a tad longer....it was strong but athletic with it...it was smoth coated and like I say a real looker...but it was a good worker an all...watched it put 20 odd rabbits in the bag out on lincolnshires big flat arable fields where there not easy....as well as a brace of fallow does and a brace of fox...like I say a bloody good dog
why don't the bull boys swallow their pride and get in touch with bird , they got nothing to loose but a lot to gain ,

Spot on i would say ....Some dog men have higher standards and what may be a world beater to some are at best average to others .
so your saying some one with high standards will always have shit dogs and some one with low will always have good dogs

Nope, that just tells me you DEFINITELY havn't seen that many greyhounds working, apart from ex racers, that were past their best, unfit, injured in some way and had 99.9% never seen anything apart from a dummy hare, and never been ran on anything other than a track. Same as most clueless idiots base their facts about greyhounds on.
Ask me something else, einstein
how do you know what iv seen and what i haven't seen , if some one said to me that their getting a greyhound to go lamping id think what a idiot , question why use a greyhound when you can improve them by x them , why do they put 2 on a hare but only one lurcher , ok

Oh dear, someone else that thinks only a 'bull cross' or a lurcher with 'bull blood' can take deer lol, oops, pre ban
they can't take a knock and with out a doubt their feet would go , is that fair on the dog,

As much as I prefer the old fashioned cobby sort of Lab, do you think the modern slim trialling sort be the best base?
A lass who beats for me trials Labs and has one that she uses for exclusively for beating that looks like a lurcher itself!
There's plenty of shite looking Labs about too.
its well over 30 year ago but i do remember the mother to triggers lab x , was smaller than the average and fine , but it was a pure bred .

just curious, whats the fastest a fallow or an average lurcher ,

I thought it was a mal x greyhound you have .and without the grey u wouldn't have the dog u prize so high.
malamute x greyhound , now what else, apart from speed could greyhounds give , brain stamina guts tell me, i dont like the dog he's a cnut he keeps getting out, the dog lives up the garden with rabbits other animals and a crow with a bad wing ,there is also a 14 month old muntjac too whoes been with him since the day he was born , he's never been nasty to them and he plays with the deer , he's 10 year old 100 lb and 29 inches , that why you can't beat brain , the question is do i hunt with him.
