  1. Hi Pal Ive been in your position and Ive read alot of training manuals these ones are what helped the most. 1 The Pet gun Dog -Lez Graham 2 the Complete Gundog Training Manual - James Douglas 3 Working Gundogs - Martin Deeley Im not saying Joe Irving arnt good Im saying these ones are better early on. Once you have a grasp on whats needed then read his books
  2. Having read most Spaniel training books out there I think the Lez Graham series are the best ones to start off with as they train the trainer.
  3. I found this years ago. Its worked brilliantly for me: Spaniel Ear Cleaner Recipe __________________________ Ingredients: · White vinegar · Powdered boric acid · Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) · Betadine antiseptic (or the generic version, known as Povidone-Iodine Solution) Please note: do not use "Betadine Scrub", use "Betadine Solution" Directions for mixing the solution together: 1. Pour 6 ounces of isopropyl alcohol in to a plastic applicator bottle. Add 1/2 tablespoon of boric acid powder. Be careful not to get any boric acid on your skin or clothes.
