  1. Hi all just realised my Jill coming into season and I don't have a hob and was just wondering any ways of bringing her out ? Or if anyone around the taunton/somerset area has a vasectomised hob to borrow ?

Hi there, it may seem a bit early but I am tryin to get everything up together for next season ferreting and I have a couple of questions about the mk1 finder: first of all can you use to locating collars with one beater box? Does anyone know of anyone around taunton somerset area that service the box as I had a couple little blips last year and was wondering if I could get Somone to look at it? Cheers guys ?

  8. Hi there I am currently looking for a couple kits, a Jill and hob preferably, must be working and as youg as really. I used to keep ferrets but am only 16 so still a bit of a noobie ? anyway if anyone is willing to give tips tricks and just some knowledge or just point me in the right directions, does, don'ts I would be extreme grateful. I live in somerset and can travel a little distance. Cheers guys?
  9. Hi I am 15 years old and have been helping around a shoot for 3 years I have done work from feeding to pest control around the farm .   10. went out for a couple hours this afternoon after school with a mate and decided to do a couple hedgrows so the first 2 didnt go great missed a couple holes and the bunnys were flying so we moved onto the last hedge of the evening and put the hob down within 2 minutes i herd scrambling and squeeling then out flyes a rabbit flew out of a little bolt hole tucked away and must of been at waste hight unfortuntly i missed this hole to but my luck was in all of a sudden i had a nice size hair in my hands yes thats right i caught it lovely size to put add to the couple i shot the other night think i

  12. the only problem im having is they will only stay don for a very very short period and im talking 2-3 mins a time then are reluctant to go back in is this because they know there arnt manny rabbits or could it be a shallow warren im not to sure any sujestions thanks??

  14. took my kits out ferreting for a couple hours the other morning only to one warren et the hob down and he would pop out ever 30 seconds but then he started to stay down for a little longer and longer after ten minutes had a nice fryer for the pan and some very happy ferts
  15. what i found is if you chop it to the size of a ice cube and put down about 3 or 4 slices each then they will run backwards and forwarsds to the plate and storring it as much as the could so they could eat it when they wanted to my jill found a little shelf on the side of the cage and stacked it up there so the hob couldnt get it off of her just thought i would say as i have feed them on it a couple times but i would defo say they prefer lamb heart
  16. hiya just a short post wondering if working ferrets need a distemper jab as i have recently realised they dont like going out for walks and prefer to run back to the house so any pointers much appreciated
  17. iv just got a whole shed and have got shelfs with pipes going up around the roof and a big play area with a litter tray down the bottom with a cage i made like a ferret hutch for the little stinkers to sleep in at night so they dont wake the nabers scrambling through the pipes

  19. ok brill thankyou very much i dont have an experienced hob but if i cant get hold of any some of the warrens are quite small so ill start them on the small ones and get the little devils going

  24. hiya again iv just been down tescos to get some chiken legs but could only get thighs and i picked up some lamb liver and just wanted t know if it is ok for them to eat
