  3. Hi I used to use my rizzini over and under for years when shooting from a hide, but one of the ejectors stopped working which resulted in missed birds whilst I fumbled around reloading. So i bought an escort magnum semi and i find the third shot handy from time to time. The only draw back I can think of is sometimes the spent shells take some finding when packing up. Hope this helps Joe
  4. Hi I have been plagued by crows this year, there seems to be more than ever this summer. I have three duck ponds which Iam feeding with corn and barley and the bins are constantly covered by crow crap and Iam sure they are eating the feed too. I have a Larsen trap set with regular sucess and I shoot them as often as possible but I cant seem to put a hole in them. Just out of interest what do you do with the dead crows?. Cheers Joe
  5. Hi I bought a hatsan escort magnum 12g a few weeks. I have had it out on a clay shoot and in the field and am very pleased with the gun. I have put about 200 shots through it and it has never failed as of yet. However I was advised to use loads no lighter than 32gms as lighter shot are prone to jamming. I paid £450 and would recommend them all day long. Hope this helps Regards Joe

I have been feeding this pond for about a week at about 5 oclock ish and I am planning to shoot it one evening this week, however I went to put some feed in tonight and noticed it was full of ducks, I counted about twenty not wanting to disturb them I crept away. So I am unsure as how to go about shooting the pond, as I understand it I would be in postion before dark and then shoot the ducks as they try to land, as they are already there at tea time I would appreciate any advice on this point. Many tha

  15. Hi Whilst waiting for a pablo to come by the other evening, a flock of geese flew over about 400 hundered yards from where I was sat. So I noted the time and returned the following evening in the correct position to be underneath the geese but they didnt show, is it likely that they will follow the same flightpath again. Thanks in advance Joe
  16. Hi I am going to try again tonight on another smaller pond at the other end of my permission as I am feeding the other one as advised. Thanks in advance Joe

  21. Hi I sat in my high seat last night from about nine till one ish in a corner of my land which my stealth cam has captured some fox activity recently. In the distance I could here a fox screaming. If it was later in the year I would imagine it would be vixen shouting for a mate, but being a little early for that concluded that it may be dispersing family members keeping in touch. So I just wondered if anyone has utilised these calls to attract foxes as an alternative to rabbit distress whistles etc. Any thoughts are appreciated Thanks in advance Joe
  22. Hi I am thinking about getting a stealthcam to try and bait a troublesome fox. Are foxes creatures of habit as the camera stamps the time on the picture and it would be convenient if the fox showed up at a similar time most nights or is it pot luck where they show. Many thanks in advance Joe
