    thanks for the replys lads much appreciated think ill have to steer away from the bull x then what type would use surgest for a newbie preferably something able to handle teeth as i wanted the bull x because i travel to ireland every few months to visit family and wanted something able to take teeth aswell as bunnys.

    i had the exact same problem but with my terrier he would ignore me and do what ever he wanted to do id shout him he would look at me then carry on what he was doing so i started to turn the oposite way and start walkig away from him then shout him and keep walking and he would come running back then when he gets to me give him praise and now hes spot on comes straight back. its easier said than done but never get mad with the dog or hit it when youve recalled him he will never learn that way and just think everytime i go back i get a crack

    what are the collie crosses like to train ive heard they can be complete nutjobs and headstrong but i surpose that can be a problem in most crosses

    im wanting to get into the running dog game and had my heart set on a bull x whippet but they seem to be hard to come by just woundering what you lads would advise as a good dog for day and night work on rabbits and occasional fox when i visit family in ireland

    he disapears for 5-10 mins but always comes back

    i will be when hes old enough hes only 12 month old and still acts like a pup if i let him go to ground how he is now he wound end up dead in the set

    i took the lamp out with it been pitch black at 4 oclock and every terrier ive had as been quick enough to chase and catch a rabbit and as for him been highly trained hes just does has hes told and has good recall

    went for a mooch out with my lakey earlier and abit of bushing with lamp, gave a fox a little chase but want out for that so shouted him back. about 10-15 mins into the walk found a decent spot plenty of rabbits was out in field and a fare distance from the bush soon as i put lamp on them he was on the chase and chased back to the bushes. when i got to the bush he was smashing his way threw and chased one out and was right behind it. an hour had past and he had bushed out and chased about 15-20 rabbits and got right up behind them but the rabbits all seem to have that bit more speed, so just w

    seen a few good young workers around lately lets see yours. mine 12 month old starting to show plenty of interest to ground but not letting him go just working him on rats and rabbits this season
