    Born hunter I commend your honesty admitting you never kept a wheaten terrier in your life, however, if you are as you suggest breeding first cross wheaten lurchers some knowledge of the breed might be useful! There is no need for me to explain how one goes about adding a little pit bull into a line you seem to have worked it out yourself the latter of your suggestions!I don't doubt you have had great dogs but in my experience wheaten lurchers rarely make outstanding all rounders, and I have had single handed fox dogs that you could ferret with also.

    English Bull was added into a number of wheaten lines in the 70s,but really MR.EXTREME hunter lets at least do the breed the service of spelling it correctly!

    I can only speak about what I have seen over several decades of keeping wheatens and I have had some very game dogs the lines I own can be traced back to Champions obviously not show champions!.I hope your knowledge of the breed surpasses that of your ability to discuss it, have you kept wheatens long yourself? and please feel free to evaluate the breed and enlighten me.If you had read the thread the discussion was about breeding lurchers, not wheatens and a lurcher that will mark and retrieve is surely of value.These are rare traits as is a nose in the wheatens I have owned and seen.So wher

    English bull was put into some strains of Wheatens in the south in the past they created very game and stupid animals I have some of these.However I also have a very old strain that in recent years had a little American pit entered into the line, from this I have one bitch she would talk to you.I have ferreted with her shot pheasant and retrieved rabbits she has of course performed as wheaten should while dug also.She has a great nose and can be hunted with other dogs while beating cover I bred her to other Wheatens but could never get anything close.If she had been a dog she was ideal for lur

    I have wheatens and have had first and second crosses.Short back no speed rarely a nose, this isn't Australia or eastern Europe we don't have the game!I I know theres good ones for terrier work but all round pot filling lurchers I am yet to see a great one!

    Hi there I have a parson x beagle bitch in pup to a plummer dog pups will be born soon both parents owned and worked by myself great cover rdogs biddable and barking.

    I had a great strong dog lost him out hunting last winter a pure bedlington.I have a half bred there now guthcommon bedlington x middelton lakeland mad for work a bit wired
