  1. I like the rough coated one what breed is he? Lol
  2. he is strong built now and is 68lb. pups that i have had and seen in the past finish growing around about the 9 months and then fill out, i may be wrong? i'd be quite surprised if a dog of that size was at its full adult weight by 9 months. I think bigger dogs generally take a bit longer to mature, but even with that aside 9 months is still really young. with the height and weight he is now what do you think he'll finish at? ATB about 39" + 120lbs haven't got a clue mate lol but like I said i do know bigger dogs usually take a bit longer to mature, and ev

  4. No offence mate but that dog is 28tts and is way heavier than any 1st x collie/grey I've ever seen. But he's only 8 months old. He will be a different dog entirely in 8-10 months when he's taken shape. Gaz I don't understand what you're getting at Gar.......are you saying in 8-10 months once he's grown an inch or two and gained a fair bit of muscle mass and more bone structure it'll look similar to a 1st x collie/grey in size and shape. mid to large dogs norm got there height by 10 moths old , and up to -2 years old to get proper mature weight , bigger breeds Dane

  12. he will catch more rabbits than i can get rid of and a few good points there whippet 99. looks like an alsation simular type. the alsastion x very good on most stuff!!
  13. How can a working dog be "ugly" if the dog works to its ability which is what you want and need. Who gives a f////k if it wont win any beauty contests. Its a strange trait on these forums that dogs seem to have to be rosette winners. Total nonsense. people on other threads I have started have said with his shape he couldn't never be a runner, I've always kept fast looking racey dogs but a mate if mine said his best dog didn't look like a Lurcher in any way. And with the dog he's got now and the signs my pups showing there may be some thing in it. If it was all about looks and speed we would
  14. you would be surprised how fast he is.
  15. any thing thats not to hard but brave enough to stay close enough to keep them there. there are dogs that will get stuck in but they dont do many and met with a big one wouldnt live long!
  16. he will catch more rabbits than i can get rid of and a few good points there whippet 99.
  17. i only go on permission and only ever go after rabbits. but can see your point.ATB
  18. its in the kennel and never comes in the house, I take him out with the family for walks on the weekend but I guess a lot of people do this so not sure what makes them pets. If he only catches a much as he is now then that will do me I've got a big freezer and I know he will fill it, so unless he gets killed I will not be getting rid of him. He is such a character and is so clever.
  19. ive had small lurchers and I've also had big ones the bigger ones seem to suit me better for the rabbits around here.
  20. i agree about flints x they are a fine stamp of animal!
