  1. Mother was pure greyhound, father collie, deerhound, greyhound, whippet. The brindle stands at 23 and the fawn 24. They are two brothers (maybe not the best choice but hey). Dexter the brindle is the more evil! Smaller and slighter but he has the brains. Tinker the fawn is a lot bigger set but can't deal with his brother yet. Dexter is a little more gamey but his brother more eager to please.
  2. First attempts of pics of the new pups now 6 months old. Let them out for a quick run after they'd slept all day behind the market stall. I saw a few rabbits but they were too busy chasing each other to notice! Both coming on and responding well. Sorry for the quality of the pics I think I need a new camera rather than the phone?
  3. Cheers. I was thinking about raw meat. Previously he was on 350g of Vitalin active alone. We've just had him a week and think that's not quite enough.
  4. It could still worth keeping in touch? Do you have a good supply?
  5. Hi, I've just bought a pup nearly 5 months old. He's Greyhound x Collie/ Deerhound/ Whippet/ Greyhound. I was just wondering if anybody had any recomendations on food and amount? He weighs 17kg. Any advice would be much appreciated. It's been a while since my last Lurcher pup. Cheers
  6. Hi, We're a small food producer specialising in Game and Wild foods. I was just wondering if any one could help us with a good supply of Venison? Hal, Whole or Quarters? We're based in the North West. Cheers James
  7. Hi, I'm looking at buying a pup very soon. It's been a while since i've had lurchers and feel I should get back into the swing of it before I make that important purchase. I'm originally from the Lake District and nature is calling me again, brought up ferreting/ mooching with ferrets, lurchers and terriers. Was just wondering if there's anyone out there I could tag along with a few times to get the feel again? Preferably mid week as i do farmers markets in the area selling Game produce. I can give more info as required. Any help would be a bonus. Cheers James
  8. Pan fry them and put them on toast!!
  9. Hi mate, You can use it for all sorts and can replace chicken in any recipe. It classically works with celery as well as fruit like gooseberries, blackberries and apple. Pan fry the breasts (slightly pink) and serve on a pearl barley risotto. When the breasts are cooked add some madeira wine to the pan and deglaze to make a sauce, reduce maybe adding some dried sultana's or any of the fruit mentioned. It also makes a great curry!!
  10. An all rounder really for mooching but need plenty of rabbits for the table and business! Will travel for the right dog. Nice puppy beddylurcher! Have just contacted him about puppies. Any tips let me know!?
  11. Hi, What puppies do you hyave left? Just up in Manchester. James
  12. Anybody know of any decent puppies going at the moment or planned soon!? Cheers James
  13. To the last 3 threads If you read me post that's just what i said!!!!!!!!!!! Show winners mean nowt!! Pharaoh would have won no shows but i'd struggle to find a dog which could beat him working. I'd go back to the gypsies but i dowt i'd find them.
  14. Cheers guys! Just contacted him. Found an advert for some puppies online in Kidderminster. Father and mother both show winners though that doesn't always mean too much. Stunning looking puppies though!
  15. Hi, I'm looking to purchase 1 maybe 2 lurcher puppies for general mooching. I've not had a Lurcher for a few years due to my career but recently changed for a better life and a lurcher back in my life. Preferably looking at a Collie/ Greyhound/ Saluki (my first dog was this cross and i'm yet to meet a dog which could match! He was a very lucky find from some gypsies in Morecambe). I recently saw a litter the same cross with some Bull also which I should have snapped up but didn't! Basically i'm wondering if any one can point me in the right direction or know/ have their own as
