    Larger deerhound crosses that I've owned and seen, although not usually instigators of aggressive behaviour, will stand their ground and fight bitterly when pressed. It's not just bull x's.     I used to have a Gen 2 monocular, it was a good bit of kit but cost me over £600. The Yukon Ranger that I use now is better. It detects rabbits at further range. You can't see that they're rabbits but you get eye shine and can then move towards them. You have to mess with the focus but once you're used to it it's not an issue. Mine is going to prove handy with my pup who's just starting out and a golf course permission I've got. I'll be able to get close enough to give him some sensible slips and build his confidence.
