  4. I think he's short in runners now though ain't he? He will have to get the old girl back in training? ...anyone in mind who might be upto beating him or are you just going off what you've seen? ...ATB Andy. depends on how you run him, slip for slip on the dales il run him anywhere any how, theres always loads of game to go at wherever,
  5. its not all in one go, 2 are put out while other 2 rest. then vice versa, water bowl in the back, dogs look tired then in they go, from what iv seen and i run wth me landy about half the time, they love it,
  6. Hedgey was typs the minshaw dog that i think i maybe read about on one of the other forums mate ? Did he have much in his tank and what was he out off ? Also how come you got rid of the dog ? Just being nosey mate, PM if you prefer Cheers Atb yer, he came as a favour on condition i didnt get on with him then back to the same place he went,i i think the best thing that i could of done with him in hind sight is put him on bang up for 6 months till he chilled out, icould go after a rabbit with him on a soft marsh and he'd manage to bang a wrist up in the 1st run,
  7. course you can break a dog with a landy, Kats still as keen as ever, the brindle saluki was a shitter tbh, kept wanting to course rabbits.boxing them an not strikeing, letting them get away, lady tired of rabbits about 5year old, whispa i think had the misfortune of being from jb and showed to be clueless when it came to slipping one to one also showing him up when loyddy went down for a run by stalking due to there being no landrover comming with her imo, jess was made to look a bit bad by a year old pup though imo still a genuine handy little dog for charlie, bad luck has seen smarty bust her l
  8. typs a 28ats dog with a brain like an imature greyhoung that was a picky f****r when he was hungry who only the night before had i been reunited with after he,d got lost on dartmoor for 2 nights, we let him have a stretch round a feild, slip however at 12 months hung in there with the best of them(a little collie whippet greyhoung whos lines i been messing with a few years, didnt seem intrested in blowing up or takeing a back seat, was up on the beach next morning playing like a pup with me saluki pups so in the landy and again, put in a performance that i was haveing trouble beliveing myself,
  9. when did you last hunt large numbers over a period of time in Cornwall giro? With a minshaw? Or was that just somthing you herd? I see a minshaw bitch run by a landy as a pup 3 night on the trot an was ready for a 4th at the time an this dog only started stalking when it was walked to rabbits which probly ment it was waiting for the land rover to come up beforeit ran them imo I just read and heard reports... Marks lilly cocked and barkers dogs where bottomed out after a few runs Never been fella, never seen dogs run along side a moter its a alien game to me.... Think Mark Br
  10. that's nice pp. You think Fenn will take that kind of stamp?

  12. Not knocking shepards but you got good. Collies so why try fix what ain't broke? Imo. The collies used out of workers running all day everyday over generations have so be stronger than a Shepard that's sat with a fat security gaurd ??
  13. Whim. You came to big land in Norfolk. AND YOU CAUGHT f**k ALL,FACT!!!
  14. Put a few plans in motion to bring a couple of ardent minshaw lads you way soon as the season starts whin. Gotta see this wonderland for meself.
  15. Whin. You was fast asleep in bed when the best dogmen were running your. Open land an you not only mug hares on the lamp. You mug hares that other peoples dogs have run the wind out of. Muppet. I'm nearby at the minute believe it or not an if it were winter id be bring a good dog man or 2 for a run over your land.you wouldn't be invited though.
  16. Wouldnt worry about what or who taking the credit so long as they do as you ask. that's just it max. I went that way so the collie and acd were the brains and brawn.so to a greyhound bitch seems to me my best option? Jo that dog did blow himself out an injuries were common but as iv herd his calmed with another season on him I now wonder did I let him down by not standing him up an giveimg him more time to mature?
  17. This has left me with a bit of a poser. I'm off three but while I got a few good minds on il take advantage of a bit of brain picking. IV got a dog im wanting to bring into my lurcher world. His half x collie grey to pure add. His like a massive collie dog with everything Sept speed. I'm thinking my only option is a greyhound bitch.? If I put him to say a nice fast saluki greyhound then im thinking the saluki would take the credit for any stamina? Same theory of putting bull blood in my collies. The bull would likely take the credit for any agression on sharp stuff.?
  18. Why did you send the one back to the north east you had out of a greyhound bitch? be honest jo im starting to wish I haddnt cause from what I hear. His starting to settle. But fair question. He was a f*****g loony.lol.everything I pointed him at he went 100 mph at and often did himself a mischief. One of the other problems I had with that dog was he was a picky eater an through his weight of in a night. I got round that by gentle road work, enough to make him hungry but not letting him on anything he could bust himself on.
  19. I always thought that breeding a line back to pure blood dogs gave them a bit of a clean up so to speak. Strighten any faults that might of started to creep in like under or over shot jaws etc., I bred mine out to stright whippet after lot of line breeding and it's done no harm to my line of ours. Atb. Nick.
  20. Il be up an at it. Doing me pups the world of good getting out for banter in such a conpleatly different terrain with other dogs. Can't beat it. The mote new experiences for them and me the better..nice one.
