Will defo do my research on the training as want to get the most out of the dog. Will post a few things on here and have a look around. Would be willing to travel a long way for the right dog. -
Patterdale Or Plummer

Really nice dogs there. How would be the best way of find people who work their plummers and are selling litters? Don't wanna end up with a poorly bred dog, just bred for cash. Most people I know have gun dogs not terriers. Don't mind waiting until the perfect dog comes up. -

Patterdale Or Plummer

Thanks for the advice. I was worried about a pat disappearing down rabbit holes. What sort of height will a Plummer normally get to? -
hello, Im looking to get a terrier for mainly ratting and a small amount of ferreting, but Im unsure of which breed to get. the Patterdale was my first choice as my friend has one and its a loverly dog and a great worker (it does have a little lakeland in it as well), but i have come across the Plummer terrier. Im am looking for a family dog as well as a worker. i was wondering what peoples opinions are on which would be the most suitable for me? cheers George

I have a 2 year old Jill ferret that needs re homing. She's a loverly girl. She's albino with abit of silver and black on her back. She had her first ferreting season this year and is doing really well. Reason I'm parting with her is cos she just doesn't get on with one of my other Jill's and the other Jill is really suffering because of it. Don't have the room to keep them apart. Want her to go to a home with other ferrets. If anyone is interested please pm me. I live in Eastbourne.

I'm just mainly looking for one to be able to get to the rabbit in the purse net before I do. Nearly all the warrens I do Are hedges and fenced right through. So it's mainly just for getting to the rabbit before i do incase it slips the net.
-
I would get a beddy/whippet if I had the space but the dog would travel every where with me. So a small dog would be best. It would also be used for ratting. But i haven't completely ruled it out though. How big is ur beddy x whippet?
-
strong minded terriers what next?!?! Lol Do you find you have a problem with ur terrier trying to go to ground? Cos I have a friend who regularly looses he patt x Lakeland down holes.

Cheers for the advice. Does your terrier hold the rabbits that have bolted in to the long/purse nets? Atb George
