My hat is off to you fella, you have been man enough to accept you were wrong and that is an admirable trait in anyone, word to the wise though, keep check on who you give your number too, sort of cuts down on this sort of situation arising.

How about the option for the initial poster to be able to remove their topic? or even an individual post that could be deemed as offensive to others ??? You know the big dollops right

Just a little something else to consider poacher, food additives/preservatives, could they be linked to any rises such as autism/asergers links have already been proven towards cancer's, but how many of these are truly needed and how many are allowed as part of a stealth culling system A bit off the wall i know but is it really so unthinkable

I believe so, especially when non-age appropriate games are given to youngsters, myself and my partner gave my stepson a Nintendo DS for christmas as he loves playing on his cousins console, we now have to regulate his time on it as he quickly becomes a zombie, wont communicate whilst on it and wants it 24-7. It is evident if he has had too long a time on it as he zones out and lacks concentration throughout the day, he now has to earn his time on it with good behaviour. Strict ? maybe but we see it as giving the lad a fair chance of learning social interaction. How many children, teens an

Still there though dude, utmost respect. And gaining a degree is one thing but living the life is another. No two ways about it, any bloke who takes on another's child is a diamond, but to take on two with difficulties and hang on in there, well like i say you deserve a medal in my eye's dude :victory:

I believe autism shares all the same symptoms of mercury poisoning and until recently all our jabs where mercury based. My cousins got aspergers and he gets on fine in school, everyone likes him because he's so crazy and doesn't care what anyone thinks. having said that he's a danger to himself and those around him. Your avatar made me smile as when i was first introduced to the asperger syndrome, one of the traits described to me was, the sufferer could walk into a cowboy brawl in a bar and not even realise the danger they could be in, once you know how an individual ticks

with his autisim, i suppose you have to meet him to be honest just abit worried he'll get bullied. Luckily when he starts his big brother will be in year 11. Bullying takes many forms dude, people targeted because of colour, disfigurement, mental impairment, musical tastes, clothing preference even something as silly as being female in a male dominated arena. Perpetrators have a whole spectrum of facilities open to them for which they can target their victims, internet bullying being a faster growing medium, and alarmingly growing faster than face to face verbal assaults due to the

You dude are a fecking legend, you deserve a medal the size of a bin lid, i work with clients and families and see the effect frustration has right across the board, from the diagnosed to the carer. A true gent

This is so true and i feel as each generation grows the social interaction gene will whither further away.

What are your main worries regarding comprehensive schools dude
-
Should autism and aspergers be on the same spectrum? or are they both differing poles on the same sliding scale debatable, due to the amount of articles written separating the two conditions. Hans Asperger studied children with autism and first recognised children who had previously been diagnosed as autistic having totally differing symptoms which later became known as aspergers. Comprehensive schools are more geared to helping children out with these disorders now, the main problem will be narrow minded individuals who take it upon themselves to ostracize and discriminate against ot

Oh my god don't get me started on ADHD and ADD, when i was at school they used the acronym's, Naughty Kid and Crap parent. Need kip now as i think i may of pulled a brain muscle this early on in the day
-
Do you mean the symptoms could be what the child thinks as normal behaviour because of their upbringing, but misconstrued by the adults? It is a bit early Yeah that's more or less the point mate, would the child grow thinking his actions are normal behaviour, although not misconstrued by the adults, more reinforced by their peers/parents. Just a theory/view I have been looking into regarding the sheer lack of social interaction skills which seem to be increasingly prevalent throughout today's society, More apparent in the lack of empathy, emotional reciprocation and non-verbal com

Nosey gits need to get a life, sat watching internet conversations at this time of the day .............................. Oh hang on .......... would we fit that description too lol :icon_redface:

Seriously though, is it just a step to prevent images and topics which are damaging to the forum, and also helping cut back on the in-fighting and bitching across the boards? Just a guess. Maybe a little more of an informative from the Admin/Moderators on the new changes would help clear stuff up instead of leaving members a little perplexed as to what is appertaining

Londonderry is in the UK. Postage prices are the same as mainland, as set by Royal Mail. If something costs about £3 to send by 1st Class Recorded, then it would be about £10 to send by Special Delivery, maybe that's what he's using? If he's not then isn't there a way to report/grass him to ebay for excessive post charges? He has it marked as first class recorded so ill give him the benefit of the doubt, wouldn't grass him to fleabay though that's a bit harsh but know what you mean though mate cheers

Just a thought, although this is a recognised as being part of the autism spectrum, does anyone feel the symptoms could be imposed onto a person without realisation by the parents/guardian's during formative years ???? Sorry if its a bit too deep at this time of the day
-
Aye i guess you could be right there moll

I've never sold anything on Ebay mate but the thing is people know the price of Items but they usually dont know the price of postage. So they think there getting a good deal on the item they have bought but really the seller is making up difference in the postage. Usually the buyer isn't as eagle eyed as yourself...........you dont have Scottish blood in you do you?..... Lol nor not Scottish but 50/50 English/Irish lol
-
I agree dude, make a couple of quid doing the same but not 7 quids a pop lol, and if people question it i would amend it for them, would quite happily pay a 5er postage as i understand the pain in the arse it is running around catching the post office and stuff, but ye have to be fair don't ye
