I hate to say it mate but your limited with springers cause of the weight....BSA Meteor is a nice rifle for the youth but when looking for a springer for kids then i hate to say it but Gamo do a nice selection in youth rifles like the Recon....now i dont rate Gamo but they are nice and light for kids your the 2nd person to mention gamo mate, my mate also said they were no where near as good as bsa an hw models, but he wont be shooting anything bar targets with it, so im not worried aboot it being under power, or even the build quality an he will only be using it when im there, an eve

whippets are nice wee dogs, i like em, can be very entertaining an certainly catch bunnys, but i must admit when it comes to the lamping game i much prefer a lurcher, i have had some good nites out with a whippet at heel an a lamp in hand, but i must admit i got sick a having to go home an knowing there was still land an bunnys to be had, 20 odd bunnys is a very good nite on the lamp with a whippet where i am, but you can an wil double that with a decent lurcher.. would i keep pure whippets for the ferreting game?? i doubt it, as these days i also like me lurchers to ferret, but who knows

im after a junior air rifle for my lad, is there such a thing?? a mate of mine geed him a smk yin, its only a cheap plastic thing but he has been plinking away with it for a few weeks noo an i wouldnt mind buying him summat more suitable, as this smk is a tad long for him unless he is laying doon or standing up an using a stick lol so anybody got any decent recomendations for a shorter than average junior rifle??

gotta make ye wonder why the fieldsports channel is actually the fieldsports channel, afterall, why didnt they just approach 1 or more of the other channels thats broadcast all over britain, i may be a million miles away here, but maybe, just maybe, they themselves knew that the other channels couldnt be trusted. was it not ch4 that shown a ferreting clip amongst others on ramseys cookery show? an they seem to be okay promoting the river cottage venture, so they would probs be a better option than them clowns at the beeb, but i still dont know if id trust them either

look floyd, i may have started this an got ye a bit of a hard time, but if ye cant see all i care aboot is the dogs, then ye really are blinkered, please dont take anything im about to say the wrong way... the way i read ye posts, ye come across as a young lad, well younger than me anyways, to me it just sounds as tho ye aint been shown how to do things properly yet, an if that is the case then im sorry, as i reckon everybody deserves the chance to be shown how to do things properly, if ye then decide to do things a diffrent way, then so be it, i know not all dogmen do things the same, but -
