  1. got not only me an you stumped mate, i have been asking folk about this for weeks, folks that have lines of ferrets older than me
  2. i got places i still aint even touched yet whin cows been out most the last year so that threw a few spanners in the works when it comes to bolting to dogs, but they away now thankfook ican get ye 20 or 30 bolters a day for the dogs i should imagine, but like i said i aint even been up to that land yet, i was just told other day cows have been put away for now
  3. you know mate thats what i keep thinking, but he is housed alongside 4 jills an another hob an none a them are It's the light though isnt it, and even though its warm, they still shouldnt be coming in. Had a bad kick? It does happen. i can safely say that it wasnt uncommon to dog this hob out with a sore face, never seemed to stop him, he didnt have a sore face recently before he started messing about, not that i can remember anyways... he can have another bit of time off, then he will be tried again, see what happens then
  4. the places i ferret get ferreted every season at least whin an most the places that hold a few bunnys get ferreted a fair few times each season, we have been in 1 small 2 acre wood for about 3 months now an everytime we empty it they just come in from neighbouring farms its all local to me so as soon as i see summat move into warrens i have done, i get on them again, gotta keep these landowners happy/freezers full/dogs fed

  8. no whin you said rakeabout has the dragging ferret, i said mine had done it a couple times, but he has also dragged them further in, i dont think he knows where is dragging them, he just drags them, so inevitably some times he ends up bringing them out... you said rakes does it all time, did you not??? i am 33 whin an have been ferreting every season i been alive barring 4 while i was in army an 1 or 2 while i was learning to walk
  9. well you beleive what you want matey, but like barrybrown has just said, he has seen it, an so have a lot more members on this forum, you see whin, like i said i dont tell lies, an my door is always open to anybody wanting days out, so a fair few have seen the hob do his job before he jacked, if he hadnt a jacked id a told you to cme down tomorow an see it, im out pike fishing an theres a few handy spots on the banking

  12. whin this ferret wasnae the type to bolt bunnys, he was an out an out digging ferret an the fella i got him off will vouch for that as will a few folks on this site who had seen the hob work, it was as simple as.... run the jills throo, they wid empty or atleast move most the bunnys,, the hob was then put in an any scrappy bunnys where found an dug out, i do do a lot of ferreting, but my kitts from last year have kept up so far, an so have a few ferrets i have used that belong to other folks, now this big hob is not even going down holes, he is just messing about, i have took weight off him,

  16. its not just 1 ferret lol have had a few jack in my time, i got a hob here tho he been a decent ferret for his first few seasons had loads an loads a digs to him, an he was a dependable as you could hope for, noo he has lost intrest, an im a digging hob down, well 2 digging hobs down to be exact ferret was nice an fit, started off nice an easy an as season progressed i have worked the upload, same as dogs an other ferrets, just thi 1 dont wanna play all no more

  18. iv never had to train a ferret whin, let the ferret see the holes an let nature take its course, i do have pipes in the court tho so when the kids in playing way the kitts every summer they get used to being pulled out pipes an holes, but thats about it

  21. how you cook your bunnys whin, i dont eat any i dont waste them, so i dont feel guilty about taking them, dogs/ferrets an mates get them off me an yorkshire game if they need any extras will take anything i can get them mate of mine brought some home made bunny sausages to mine couple a seasons ago an i spewed after 1st mouthfull, i genuinley thinks its dirty as fook
