thanks for the reply thats exactly what i have 2 hobs 3jills.i would like to keep back two more jills but i dont want to struggle getting them all out dont know if 7 will be to many for me

Hi folks just wanted to know how many ferrets everyone has got ? also if you work all of them or do you just kept your hobs for breeding, how many do you take out on anyone day and how often do you go ferreting. Reason for all my questions is i have five and was thinking of keeping a couple more gills out of this years litters as im hopeing to have more days out next year, this year i`ve been getting out once or twice a week and all the ferrets usually get out once a week i like to have each of them out at least once a week. Whats everyone think?

went out ferreting yesterday with all five ferrets set for a full day, started well had 19 for dinner time hadn`t had to dig one, only three got out holes we hadn`t spoted, we was in woodland all the dead leaves made it hard work to find them little bolt holes but it didn`t do bad, then we move on to the edge of a corn field where the rabbits were making a mess of the crop, we had 10 more there only dug one i don`t mind a dig thou it`s not a days ferreting without a dig, ended up with 29, kept the kidneys,livers and all the other goodies for the ferrets, kept four for myself and got a pound ea

hi thete im new to the site, im very much into my ferreting been doing it for about four years, i work four different farms two of which have a bad rabbit problem,i`ve just started longnetting but im new to that, i also do abit of lamping with a riffle, we have a farm in linconshire which we have a shoot on twice a year, hoping to learn abit from the site as there`s asways something to learn!
