JUST BEEN DOING SOME CALCULATIONS, IF DEBEN ARE TO USE THE SAME TECHNOLOGY CREE LED, THEN I HAVE WORKED OUT THAT THE TRACER 150 WHICH ALEX TELLS ME IS A 15 WATT LED PRODUCES LUMENS PER WATT, AND 15WATTS X LUMENS PER WATT,, GIVES YOU 1200 LUMENS..AS STATED FOR THE 150 TRACER. SO NOW IF YOU TIMES 35 WATT AT LUMENS PER WATT THAT GIVES YOU AN INCREDIBLE 2800 LUMENS. AND HAS HE STATED WHEN I FIRST SPOKE TO HIM 2 WEEKS AGO HE SAID THE NEW LAMP WILL BLOW THE SOCKS OFF THE 150.. SO GOING ON THE ABOVE INFORMATION THIS MUST BE THE CASE.. IF SO THATS GONNA BE 1 BRIGHT MOTHER FECKER.. CHE

JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE TO DEBEN, SPOKE WITH ALEX ABOUT THE NEW LAMP THE 35WATT CREE LED LAMP. IT WILL BE BUILT AROUND THE SAME DESIGN AS THE 150, WITH A SMALLER REFLECTOR, BUT WITH MUCH FURTHER BEAM DISTANCE. IT WILL NOT HAVE A DIMMER, AND NEITHER A SPOT TO FLOOD REFLECTOR HEAD. I ASKED ABOUT THE PRICE OF THE NEW LAMP THE PRICE OF THIS NEW LAMP WILL NOT BE OVERPRICED HE SAID. THE ISSUE HAS ALSO BEEN ADDRESSED ABOUT THE LENS COVER COMING OFF AS DID HAPPEN TO THE 150 TRACER, IN SOME CASES, INCLUDING MINE. THAT WAS DUE TO THE GLUE USED WHEN HEATED BY THE LED, WITH NEW ADHESIVE BEING USE

On most outings i go lamping with 1 friend, its like a partnership shared for the sport we both love and cherish. But on quite a few occasions ive lamped just me, my old cur, lamp and battery. On these nights where i have ventured alone is different, I seem more in tune with nature ears pricked, every noise a dog barking in the depths of the distance, you hear see and notice everything much more. Even the old jook seems more in tune, if you have never tried lamping just you and the oid lurcher try it, what a great experience. After catching a few rabbits ive sat and rolled a rollup wit

Fieldsportshunter the fella said the LED in the 150 was actually a 15Watt cree L E D not a 10 as i first thought, thats what he said. I also have to agree that the 150 has a brilliant little beam and with a bit more distance added,, it really would be the perfect lamp for me. Also to Kevin Kiley, the lamp in question are not made by lightforce the 150,, is a Tracer 150 made by Deben,, and the new lamp will be a tracer,, with a 35 watt cree, cheers fellas. SWG DAVE

You could ask foxdigger what cree is in the k50 dave, he might know.The cree xl-m2 LED thats in the k50 is max 10watts and draws 3amps at max output. Thanks for that foxdigger..

What wattage cree is in the k50,? only the 35Watt cree in this new handheld must have some beam on it.

Just spoke to a fella at Deben about the new lamps to be released in time for the 2015 lamping season, they have a couple of torch like designs, and a new handheld with 35watt cree L E D, I asked what was it like and his reply was,, well it will blow the socks off the 150. I have a 150 Tracer and since i have had it, i have not used the striker 170 any body that has used the 150, i think would agree they are quite a handy little lamp, it would be handy for that bit of extra distance, and with the new Deben handheld lamp to be released, i think that will give us that, looking forward t

THE BEST DOG IVE OWNED IS A SALUKI WHIPPET GREYHOUND THE ONE I OWN NOW, WHICH I USE HIM FOR LAMPING, HE PUTS A FAIR AMOUNT OF GAME IN THE BAG, HIS QUITE A CHARACHTER REALLY, A REALLY NICE FRIENDLY OLD DOG. SKIP 1234 As they get a bit older, and if you do encounter any problems, my advice would be to remain calm, shouting and getting hot headed will only have the opposite effect, not that this is going to happen in your case and also not that you are like that as a person. But with my younger dog he was a lot more nervous to be honest, as i did not get this dog till he was nine months old, but i ended up getting my head round him, trained him up and got him going, and now at the age of 3 he is a totally different animal. I would not part with him for the world, cheers. SWG DAVE....
