  1. I'll give you 25 posted, if that's any good?
  2. My uncle has a farm, so I'll go to see him next week, when am off week. Read a couple of books already, so made a start. Got her booked in for her first jabs.
  3. Yep fella, I think you're right. Abit cloak and dragger, I guess, all this dog hunting, stuff. I was always told if you don't ask you don't get. I'll get me coat.
  4. Anybody have a copy of Purdy's Progress, I can buy. Because I ain't downloading thing, hate computers. I may as well pay one of you lot, than some toad off the internet and not get what I want.
  5. At Taz-n-liy, LOL thanks pal, would never have thought of nettles. Eggs as well, I guess? Cooked or raw? If I could just get in contact with somebody in the Barnsley area. I think it would help.
  6. Really do hope so, I really want her to be a working dog, as i have two lurchers already, that have turned into pets, families?? Need a helping hand in the barnsley area really. Need her to work, she looks like she's going to be a big dog or bigger than the other two. So she should be good on rabbit, from what I've read. What's a good diet for her? I know she needs or will need carbs and Protein. But what are the best sources, what do you guys use? I really want to feed her on the things she hopefully will catch, would fish be a god food source?
  7. Get yourself a mountain bike or motor bike for the field and put the miles in. And good snap. Like an athlete really. Carbs and protein for there diet, runn um one day and rest/walk um the next. If you really want to go to town, get um a weighted coat, it'll add resistance and build mussel faster. But these are only my thoughts. But that's only half the battle really. My two dogs are pets, but as fit as any dog as I know, will run 10 muiles at 12mph+ all day every day. But cann't catch a thing So I've bought a new pup and I'll give her ago. Hopefully she has some fire in her belly
  8. the guy I bought the dog from I'll give him a try, Doh! did think of that
  9. I know of a gentleman that used to run a lurcher, friend of the family, but he lost his dog. I'll give him a try, hopefully he'll help.A mentor is what I could really do with, how would I go about getting one, do I need too put out a CV LOL Any help is much apperciated.
  10. Cheers fella's, could Mrpit PM because I think you need to post a certain number of times before it will let you PM somebody. Does anybody run dogs in the Barnsley area?
  11. Right after having my chuff kicked in by you lovely people, I have gone out and bought myself a new lurcher pup. She is from working stock ( collie x grey x bull). How do I go about training her and working her. Books, any information and place to go? Anything really.
  12. Just wondering how to go about studding my dogs, not after any sort of payment, possibly pick of the litter. Any help would be much apperciated, many thanks in advance Andrew These are not working dogs, but there Mother (whippet) and father (beddlington terrier) are or where
