    good little hardy dogs go through anything but try not to start it to early they tend to get excited if enterd to soon and start yappin its the terrier side in them

    most will handle a hard nite or 2, its when them hard nites turn in to 4/5/6/7 nites a week that i think the whippet losses it appeal, they just drop condition an are too fast for there own good......... if i was to buy a dog solely for ferreting however, a whippet would be top of my list i only go once or twice a week due to work then depending on the land ye run, a whippet could be an option mate, but if ye think you might do more, or you run ruff ground maybe a whippet based lurcher, best a both worlds i run mainly small flatish fields and sandy common land

    Totally agree with you mate, although you do have to be careful which lines you get. For example,I wouldn't work a non ped racing whippet as they are far too fast and brittle they weigh approx 20% less than the same sized kc whippet. Afterall a average paced dog with a little between the ears will always catch more than a pocket rocket thats as thick as they come. Vixen my ped whippet rarely gets into top gear when out lamping she uses her head only running as fast as she needs to to keep up with the rabbits timing her strike and she rarely has to strike twice. have you got any pups av

    you get bad feet in all xs, especially if kenneled up all week then just run them on a Sunday, you want to let ours out then

    i wouldnt go for a 1/4 collie 3/4 greyhound ive hah 2 they seem to heavy i was forever in the vet whith feet problems
