  2. wondering whether anyone in or around the west midlands area is having any kits soon, looking for a hob out of decent stock, my two jills are far to hormonal for each other, in need of a hob to put over them next year round, not looking to breed at all, hob will be getting the snip
  3. yeah raw chicken is fine, mine have been on it from kits, unless they get pigeon or rabbit, depends whats in the freezer, word of advise in this heat, feed at night and remove in the morning, otherwise you'll have maggots in no time.

Black rat and cheddar valley usually sold along with old rosie, spent my 21st drinking cheddar valley, results weren't great! made for some funny pictures though
  5. wasn't intending on anything of this scale, but could imagine the effect it would have on everyone else's shoots! would be using some grain like you said to bait the area where the traps set. love the look of your terrier! what area are you in?
  6. if you take a look at this link. i was thinking something a lot like this? would bait as said by gnipper, with some wheat. protrapper-video-woodpigeon.php
  7. i do have an air rifle, get plenty of shooting done too, just interested in using a trap for local places that don't have too many pigeons. just been looking at the catapults.....look like a lot of fun!
  8. I posted this in the pest control section with no replies, hoping it does better here, I want to make myself a wood pigeon trap, with the treadle system, anybody got any ideas how to make these? Maybe have plans, pictures or experience in making them. Thanks.
  9. i'm interested in making a wood pigeon trap, one with the treadle system (i think thats what its called), have found some i could buy, just didn't want to pay £30, any body got any decent plans or advice for making any, wouldn't mind seeing a few pictures if you've got some. cheers!
  10. make sure you bare in mind that they separate car no claims and van no claims, so what you earn for one, cannot be used for the other.
  11. As titled, i'm looking for a Benjamin .22 air pistol, i live in the west midlands area, herd there handy dispatch guns, ideal for pest control. any help would be much appreciated. thanks
  12. Thanks, luckily the lads i work with all ferret and work dogs, so i got a couple of good working ferrets.
  13. This year managed to be my first season ferreting, and my first year starting out in professional pest control, so i thought i'd post a couple of pictures. set up of the hutch has slightly changed since this picture, added tubing and nest box in top corner. no more dry food either, luckily my uncle is a butcher This was my first rat in a box, had to go change my trousers after this...
  14. So the results are in... Turns out it is a hernia, just a small one directly under her belly button, the vet said there's no need to remove it as it's not causing any discomfort, but can easily be removed without a problem. Thanks for all the replys, hope this helps if anyone else comes across this problem, the vets I found was reasonably priced for the check up as well as the Jill jab, if ever the time comes I need to use it.
  15. Aha positive, there definitely both jills, I did wonder when I first got them off my mate, one was a lot more aggressive dragging the other around, but no there both jills. If it was an umbilical scar wouldn't she always if had it? Everything I've read seems to make me think it's a hernia. Thanks for the reply
  16. is it under the skin or attached to the skin ? Definitely under the skin
  17. No it's not red hot or sore, just a little purplish, looks slightly under the skin, aha I got that impression from the vets I just rang, went a bit quiet as soon as I mentioned ferrets, said I could bring it in, but not sure how they would help!! Any suggestions on vets in the midlands? Thanks for the reply!
  18. Thanks for the reply, well that's good to know, rules that out, didn't want to take her to the vets just to find she was in season. Yeah I'm planning on taking her to the vets, just trying to find out whether it's a common problem or if anyone else has come across it. Thanks for the reply!
  19. I recently got two young albino jills, there about 4-5 months old now, I was checking them over yesterday and found a small lump on one of there stomachs, any idea what this could be? Do they come into season this late and this young? There both playing fine with no signs of discomfort. Any advice would be much appreciated.
  20. i cant find any logun manufacturers? have found some full kits on ebay for about £30, would this be cheaper? i think its an AGS scope, its perfectly inline horizontally, but the pellet fires three notches above the crosshair, i have hit stuff with it, but can be a bit hit and miss.
  21. i recently bought a BSA lightening off a work colleague, came with scope, silencer, bag and logun lamp, he also said he would sort a battery out for me to go with the lamp, somehow i dont think he will, as it has been about two months now since i got the gun, and i still havent received any battery. any ideas as to were i could get the battery pack and charger individually as all i seem to be able to find is the complete kits. im not to clued up about air rifles as it is, but ive also attempted to zero in the scope, but the adjustments dont seem to make any difference as to were the pellet
