a few extra bits I also have another NSK finished it is made from 52100 4mm and has been professionally heat treated it has a forge finish on the flats, it has a scandi grind and the handles are made from katalox wood. This was a test piece as I tried filling in the front area with brass chips and epoxy instead of a pin one side is a little off so this knife will be cheaper, it also has a brass lanyard tube. Hi all I have one of my NSK's (neck survival knives) for sale the blade is 4mm 52100 and has been professionally heat treated, it has a scandi grind and is semi polished. Th handle is made from walnut and has brass loveless bolt and a brass lanyard tube holding it together. Here are some photographs : Th knife has no sheath but does come in a zipped padded carry case, however you could easily find someone on this forum to make you a nice sheath. Im looking for £45 in total for the knife including postage many thanks Alex

Haha thanks guys, yes I will put up finished pictures and yes my workshop is a pigsty on one side at the moment but I will be cleaning it tomorrow so should look better. Got lots to work on for now though. Alex

yes 01 tool steel an you want 3 or 4mm for a general purpose knife, or you can use a spring steel like en45 or en42 or modified en9 or ball bearing steel like 52100 if you can find it, there are many options. Many thanks Alex

Hi all I have my Dave Budd blue carbon fibre handled knife for sale the blade is 2mm thick and 47mm long and the whole knife is 115mm long and has blue carbon fibre scales and brass fixings and comes with a black leather sheath. ferric choloride is what you need mate mix abit in with some water and soak your blade in it until you get the desired effect you want. many thanks Alex

yes i use brass loveless bolts or standard brass rod brought off the net and for liners I will use vulcanised fibre or thin slices of g10 or tufnol for my knives all are water resistant and add aesthetics to the handle. many thanks Alex -

Hi all I have a lovely skinning knife that I have recently made for sale it is made from 3mm 01 tool steel and has been professionaly heat treated, it has yew on oneside of the knife and walnut on the other for the handle the knife is 160mm long and 20mm wide. here it is Im looking for £25 for this knife including postage many thanks Alex

alright chris Im glad you like the knife I use japanese wetstones 1000 and 6000 grit then finish with a nagura stone and then strop with autosol on a large strop. many thanks Alex
